A gamer spent months building a life-sized, 3D-printed replica of Halo Infinite's Gravity Hammer. Released in late 2021, Halo Infinite is the sixth mainline entry in Xbox's flagship shooter franchise.

Given its legendary pedigree, it should come as no surprise to anyone that the Halo series features some of the most iconic weapons in video game history. Among these is the Assault Rifle associated with longtime franchise protagonist Master Chief, but just as equally memorable are the armaments used by the games' powerful coalition of alien baddies, the Covenant. One dedicated gamer spent months creating a full-scale copy of a fan-favorite Covenant melee weapon.

Halo Infinite Tenrai IV Update Adds Fan Favorite Feature from Master Chief Collection

Halo Infinite releases its brand-new Operation: Tenrai IV event, bringing with it new items and armor, as well as several highly requested features.

In a post on the Halo subreddit, user Admiral_Forever shared their life-sized, 3D-printed replica of Halo: Infinite's Gravity Hammer. The project took two months to model, mostly in Blender, and another month to print, according to the post's caption. Admiral_Forever also revealed that their 3D-printed Gravity Hammer replica stands around 6'4" (1.93 meters) tall and weighs 23.8 pounds (10.8 kilograms), with the head and handle being nearly even in terms of mass. The model's 3D files can be freely downloaded online, but Admiral_Forever warned that printing it would be a difficult endeavor.

Life-Sized, 3D-Printed Replica of Halo Gravity Hammer

The Covenant Gravity Hammer is a large, two-handed melee weapon that was used by the now-disbanded alliance's ape-like Jiralhanae species, who are more commonly known as the Brutes. It first appeared in 2004's Halo 2, but as a special boss weapon that players were unable to wield. The Gravity Hammer has become a staple close-combat tool in the series since then, and it is considered a highly effective weapon in Halo Infinite despite its slow speed. It was also prominently featured in the community-created Griffball game mode that plays similarly to modern-day American rugby.

Many people have utilized 3D printing technology to create incredible Halo projects. For example, one fan of the sci-fi franchise, Reddit user GalacticArmory, made life-sized statues of Master Chief and the Arbiter that collectively took two years to finish. The Arbiter that appeared in the mainline games, an Elite named Thel 'Vadam, has become one of the series' most beloved characters. Voiced by Keith David, this Arbiter is playable in both Halo 2 and Halo 3, while an Easter egg dedicated to the character can be found in 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite.

A new Halo Infinite operation went live on June 4, and it will run until July 2. This campaign, Operation: Tenrai 4, features a 20-tier battle pass that includes a new armor set. The latest Halo Infinite operation also has a time-limited game playlist based on a Japanese-inspired theme.
