Halo Infinite is a title that many in the gaming community have been anticipating for quite some time now. Ever since it was first unveiled during E3 2018, people have been waiting to see all that Halo Infinite has to offer. Though, according to a supposed former employee of 343 Industries, the development of the game has been quite taxing.

343 Industries has had a somewhat difficult go at things ever since the studio took over the development of the Halo series from Bungie. After Halo 5 received poor reactions from a number of fans and critics alike, 343 Industries set out to make something new, while still honoring the Halo franchise as a whole. However, a former skybox artist over at 343 has some interesting things to say about Halo Infinite and its development.

In a video on Bilibili translated from Mandarin by ResetEra user random0_point, a presumed former 343 Industries developer stated that the "finished product would still be great." He later stated that the story had improved and the gameplay had much more depth, but he also told his listeners to not expect an "epoch-making masterpiece." The supposed 343 developer also stated that a lot of content had to be cut due to overzealous ambitions from company executives.

The alleged developer also stated that much like Halo 5crunch was utilized in the development of Halo InfiniteIt should be stated that all of this information should be taken with a grain of salt. After all, 343 Industries has yet to officially comment on the video and furthermore, the evidence in question is a video that was translated on ResetEra via a Chinese video sharing website. It's not the most reliable in terms of an information leak.

Although, if what this apparent developer says is true, then it largely refers to what he knows from when he was working for the studio. The timeframe of his transference to a different studio is not addressed, hence Halo Infinite could look a lot different now then it did by the time he left. Not to mention that due to Halo Infinite's delay, it gives the remaining developers ample time to iron out the game.

It will be interesting to see how the final version of Halo Infinite turns out. It's been over five years since the release of Halo 5 and from what has been shown of Halo Infinite so far, it looks like this will be a much different type of game compared to what the Halo community saw back in 2015. Only time will tell if Halo Infinite manages to live up to everyone's expectations.

Halo Infinite will be available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in 2021.
