Of the numerous anticipated titles that have launched in 2020 so far, no other game has managed to excite the gaming community quite like Halo Infinite. The game has been teased for the better part of two years and there's still a lot of details regarding Halo Infinite that have yet to be explained. Though, the newly released box art of Halo Infinite seems to paint a much clearer picture of what to expect from the game.

The first Halo game ever released, Halo: Combat Evolved, remains one of the most influential first-person shooters ever created. To this day, there are many in the gaming community that consider Combat Evolved a significant part of gaming history. Thus, when Halo fans saw the box art for Halo Infinite, they got very excited.

The official box art for Halo Infinite was released earlier today and is very similar to the Combat Evolved box art. Everything from the curved Halo ring in the background, the Master Chief holding an assault rifle, the scenery, even the ship in the top left bears a resemblance to the position of the Banshee in the Combat Evolved box art.

For how similar it is to the Combat Evolved box art, the Halo Infinite box art seems to contain further details. On the Master Chief's left arm there appears to be some kind of black device not seen in any other design. This could potentially imply that a grapple hook mechanic may be featured in Halo Infinite. Also, the large expansive nature of the background could also align with the rumors that Halo Infinite might be open world.

If these box art similarities are any guide, then hopefully Halo Infinite will draw a lot of inspiration from the classic Halo formula, while also integrating new game mechanics and concepts. With the Xbox Series X event premiering tomorrow, fans will finally know what to expect in terms of this game.

That being said, many in the gaming community are still somewhat skeptical. After all, this is the first time that gameplay will be showcased in the two years since Halo Infinite was announced. Not to mention the creative director of Halo Infinite stepped down during the final year of its development. These signs aren't exactly good, but nobody will truly know until the Xbox Series X event premiers tomorrow.

Halo Infinite is set to launch during the Holiday of 2020.
