It's confirmed that Halo Infinite will be launching alongside the long-awaited Xbox Series X. You might be lost in Halo's convoluted story. Regardless, players can hop into multiplayer action without needing to play all the Halo games.

Halo multiplayer maps are among the most iconic in video games. There are over one-hundred Halo maps and counting since Halo: Combat Evolved. Arguably, the earlier games spawned Halo's most memorable levels. Still, with recent maps like Exile, 343 Industries has proven know-how for creating maps we like. Remade or remastered, here are ten classic maps that need to be in Halo Infinite.

10 Ivory Tower

This tropical map is pure Halo 2 nostalgia. The map has an elevator that allows players to ascend to the second or third level. Another option is to use the airlifts beside the elevator. This multi-level map is not overly complex but has a smart design. It would be ideal for Halo Infinite as a remake or not.

The Rocket Launcher and Energy Sword are two power weapons that work well with the map. Both of these weapons are useful since the map has close quarters and long-distance sections.

9 Zanzibar

Halo 2 was the birthplace of many iconic maps, many of which were remade in later games. In Zanzibar, players can walk the high path or keep to the ground. It's a level that leaves little room for vehicles, yet driving around this map is deeply satisfying. It barely meets the size requirements for vehicles, but it wouldn't be the same without them.

Halo Infinite will want to introduce new vehicles to this map and polish the graphics in gorgeous 60 frames per second.

8 Zenith

Whether you want to call the map by one if its remake names or "Ascension," this map deserves to be in Halo Infinite. The Halo 2: Anniversary map Zenith proves there is plenty of room for improvement. Zenith is a metallic map that appears quite different from the original. The central dish structure now activates a dome shield that protects players. The Banshee is not superfluous since the Rocket Launcher is smartly placed out of hand's reach.

7 Exile

Halo 4 is considered the most polarizing game of the series because of its lackluster campaign. At the same time, 343 Industries attempted something new with its multiplayer character classes. There is more customization than Halo: Reach, which is one reason why the multiplayer still holds up.

Exile is a vehicle-based map from Halo 4. The central structure can become a congested area where firefights take place. At the same time, there are wide-open spaces around the central structure. Exile is a memorable level that needs to be in Halo Infinite.

6 The Pit

Halo Infinite should be a campaign successor and a multiplayer throwback to classic Halo maps. The Pit is symmetrical, besides the lighting differences. It has all the makings of a phenomenal Team Slayer map. The Pit has immense replay value and is one of our favorite Halo 3 maps.

5 Guardian

Depending on where you spawn in the map, you could be near a power weapon like a Sniper Rifle or near the tumultuous Gravity Hammer. You have to adapt to each part of the map, as there is nothing symmetrical about Guardian. This map's scattered layout is commonly used in Halo tournaments, which is yet another reason why it deserves the Halo Infinite remake treatment.

4 Lockout

A frigid isolated level plays with your emotions as you venture out into the haze. Lockout was originally a Halo 2 map that was remade as "Blackout" in Halo 3 and "Lockdown" in Halo 2: Anniversary. The level has a medium size, which would be ideal for Halo Infinite game modes like Slayer, Team Slayer, and Oddball. This match is commonly used in tournaments, and we expect nothing to change when Halo Infinite launches on the Xbox Series X.

3 Midship

Midship is set on a Covenant warship. The map is cold, foreign, and is well-lit. The map is structured in a way that there are lots of round edges. This enables players to jump from heights without shield damage. Matches on Midship are heart-pounding, fast-paced matches that rarely reach their time limit. Halo Infinite should only make minor changes to this map's layout.

2 Battle Creek

Battle Creek is an iconic Halo map that stood out the most when it appeared in Halo: Combat Evolved. The map was remade twice, but the original had arguably the best flow because of the Halo: Combat Evolved pistol. The pistol was optimized to work well on maps like Battle Creek. The Active Camouflage and Rocket Launcher are ideally situated where an optimal level of risk is involved with grabbing them.

Could Halo Infinite beat the original Battle Creek? Even if they merely add the original with updated graphics, it's a win for the Halo community.

1 Blood Gulch

Blood Gulch

This fan-favorite is considered the most exceptional out of over one-hundred Halo maps across the series. We can't forget Blood Gulch or the remakes "Coagulation and "Hemorrhage" for their versatility. In Team Slayer, bases become the place for an exchange of fire between teams. Team Slayer, Slayer, Capture the Flag, Juggernaut, and Crazy King play phenomenally on this map.

In a nutshell, they don't make maps like this anymore. Halo Infinite would not be the same without Blood Gulch.
