There are many memorable aspects that make Halo such an iconic and beloved gaming franchise. With a bold, orchestral soundtrack, a well-realized world and narrative, and wonderfully addictive gameplay, Halo has managed to captivate the gaming community for several console generations now. Though, one talented engineer has managed to bring a piece of the series into the real world, at least on a limited budget.

One of the many things that fans have pointed to as a staple feature of the Halo series is the weapons. The Halo weapons are very recognizable, as their overall designs have been maintained throughout the series. Even classic Covenant weapons, such as the Beam Rifle, the Needler, and the Plasma Pistol have remained an integral part of the series across each entry.

However, upon the request of another user, a gifted Reddit user by the name of LaserGadgets has recreated the Plasma Pistol on a small budget. While the exact budget was not revealed, the finished product shares many attributes similar to the original design, such as the purple embellishments and the glowing green lights on the side. While the laser it shoots is blue instead of green, the Plasma Pistol is still a pretty impressive homage to the in-game weapon.

It's almost hard to believe that the Plasma Pistol has managed to last this long within the Halo series. With so many different weapons being introduced in every new Halo installment, and with a lot of them not appearing in other entries, the Plasma Pistol has certainly earned its place among Halo's Covenant weapons.

Although, having said this, it will be interesting to see the new weapons are featured in Halo Infinite. The developers have already revealed a weapon for The Banished called the Skewer, which will be a new addition to the series. However, there are also some weapons that have been swapped out in favor of different variants.

For instance, Halo Infinite will be swapping out the old shotgun for the new Bulldog weapon. With so many new weapons and abilities coming to Halo Infinite, it goes to show how much 343 Industries has in store for its players. As of right now, there hasn't been a new release date confirmed for Halo Infinite, nor has there been any further gameplay showcases since the one revealed back in July. For now, fans will just have to wait for further Halo news.
