Halo has been one of the most consistently popular video game series of all time, ever since the first game was released in 2000. There have been many games released in the first-person-shooter franchise since then, but a lot of fans are the most fond of the first three games in the series that were made by Bungie. Both the start and end of Halo 2 in The Master Chief Collection feature a new cutscene showing The Arbiter telling Spartan Locke about the events of that game. It is only a small change, but this added dialogue helped to prepare fans for the upcoming Halo 5, where both Locke and The Arbiter have a key role. Therefore, a remaster of Halo 3 could use the same trick to tie this game with a future Halo game. The cross promotion potential would get players to pick up Halo 3 again, and get them excited about what is to come next.

However, a new Halo game is yet to be released while the show has been running, which is a shame, seeing as how a new game would definitely get more people watching the show. Halo 5 and Halo Infinite were still reviewed positively, yet they do not compare to the lofty score that Halo 3 received.
The fact that players are still downloading The Master Chief Collection to play this great game also shows that fans still have an appreciation for Halo 3. Therefore, Halo 3 deserves a remaster simply because it is one of the best games in the Halo series so far.
