In David Gordon Green's Halloween trilogy, final girl Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) has a family that is as tough as she is. Judy Greer and Andi Matichak have brought their talents to the past two movies as Karen and Allyson Nelson, Laurie's daughter and granddaughter.

While Allyson has played a key role in the story so far, talking to Laurie about Michael Myers and seeing her own teenage life fall apart thanks to this horrible figure, there is a lot more that could be done with this character. When fans get to see how this all turns out in Halloween Ends, Allyson should have a specific storyline.

In Halloween and Halloween Kills, Allyson Nelson seems just as strong as Laurie Strode did back in the day. She completely understands how terrible Michael is and knows that it's up to her family to stop him. Now, in the final movie of this trilogy, Allyson is a unique position because she has watched Michael hurt her grandmother and she has lost her mother. Halloween Ends can hopefully be a strong and powerful enough ending to this trilogy that it will make up for some of the disappointing storylines from the previous movie. Halloween Kills wasted Laurie by keeping her in the hospital and Karen Nelson's death was a mistake in the movie as well.

In Halloween Ends, Allyson and Laurie should be a team who try to free Haddonfield (and themselves) of Michael Myers once and for all. This is something that audiences are hoping and expecting to see, and it makes sense since there is a lot about Allyson's character development that is like Laurie's in the 1978 film. When Laurie is walking home from her school with her friends and chatting, or babysitting, she's a mature person who takes her responsibilities seriously, just like Allyson seems to be.

In Halloween (2018), Allyson is a smart and frustrated teenager who talks to her friend Vicky (Virginia Gardner) and Vicky's boyfriend Dave (Miles Robbins) about the horror that Laurie has been dealing with. Allyson also has her own storyline as she is dating Cameron (Dylan Arnold), who seems interested in her but then kisses someone else at a school dance.

Allyson is given a lot of plot in the 2018 film and also in 2021's Halloween Kills, she ignores her mother's hopes for her to stay safe and out of danger and goes after Michael Myers along with everyone else. While it's debatable that Karen needed to die, it's possible to say that if one of Laurie's relatives is going to actually kill Michael, it's fascinating to think that it could be Laurie's granddaughter. This is powerful because it shows that Michael's evil has hurt Laurie's family for several generations and while Laurie and Karen have a complex relationship, Allyson can ignore her family and do what she wants.

Fans have heard some things about Halloween Ends: COVID-19 pandemic will be part of the new movie and it will take place four years after the events of 2021's Halloween Kills. Fans are definitely curious about how this will work. The director David Gordon Green said, “Where we’re leaving these characters on Halloween 2018, the world is a different place." If there is this four year time gap, then it makes sense that the movie would focus more on Allyson. She has been grieving her mom's death for several years now and it's easy to see that she would be more than ready to get revenge.

There are many different Halloween timelines, and Halloween H20 is a better movie than some might believe. One interesting thing that the movie does is give Laurie Strode a family: she's raising her son John (Josh Hartnett). Allyson is definitely a more interesting and well-written character than John, who doesn't really understand how scary Michael Myers is and who seems more reactive than active to the events of the movie. Allyson is tougher and wants to be at the heart of the action. Allyson doesn't see any other way and she doesn't want to sit back and watch Michael Myers kill her entire family. Now that Laurie is all that she has left, it seems likely that Allyson will become even tougher and do everything that she can to keep Laurie safe.

When fans get the chance to check out Halloween Ends, the movie should feel unique and distinct from any other movie in the slasher franchise, as audiences are expecting something big, exciting, and meaningful. While no one, not even Laurie Strode herself, has been able to really defeat Michael Myers, perhaps Allyson Nelson is a strong enough character and the two of them can team up together, get the job done, and find a way to heal and move forward.
