Halle Berry may have hinted at her return as Catwoman or X-Men heroine Storm, but fans have difficulty deciding based on the recent photo she shared.Berry has a long history of playing heroes. She portrayed Storm in four X-Men movies released between 2000 and 2014. Later, in 2004, she portrayed Catwoman. Neither of Berry's characters has been seen onscreen since their last - or, in Catwoman's case, only - movie. However, a recent post from Berry has fans speculating about Catwoman or Storm's return.RELATED: Hugh Jackman Reveals The Damage Playing Wolverine Did To HimOn May 24, Berry posted a picture of herself on her Twitter account with the caption, "patience takes practice" followed by a winking emoji. The picture shows Berry holding a cat and sporting a short, white haircut. While the post might seem straightforward, X-Men and DC fans began speculating what the post could mean. User @urbanzosf replied, "Wait, stop playing with us....We getting a Catwoman sequel are we?!..Ms. Patience Phillips," referencing the cat in the picture and Berry's mention of "patience" - the first name of her character in Catwoman. Thinking along those lines, @faux_ross said, "Patience and holding a cat. I see what you did there..."

On the Marvel side of the speculation, @potentalMother posted, "STORM HAIR WHILE DEADPOOL 3 IS FILMING ?!?!?!?" along with a GIF of women screaming. A couple of other users were more convinced of the reason for Berry's white hair. @mattoska said, "Her hair is white!!!!! Deadpool 3 started filming today. I can’t wait to see Storm again." Although Berry's involvement in Deadpool 3 hasn't been announced, the movie has already brought fellow X-Men star Hugh Jackman in to reprise his role as Wolverine. So while it's entirely unconfirmed, it's plausible that Berry could also appear in Deadpool 3.

Although the timing of Berry's post and her hair color supports the theory that she could reprise her role as Storm for Deadpool 3, there seems to be just as much evidence that the post references her Catwoman character. The problem with this theory is that there's less of a reason for Patience Phillips to appear in the DCU than for Storm to appear in the MCU. Berry only played Catwoman in one standalone movie devoid of her usual connection to Batman, and the DCU and prospective DCEU haven't seemed particularly concerned with incorporating Catwoman into their stories.

That being said, The Flash already includes cameos from actors who have portrayed DC characters in the past. Recently, director Andrés Muschietti revealed that Nicolas Cage will have a cameo as Superman in The Flash. While a Nicolas Cage-led Superman movie was once in the works, it never made it through production. If The Flash is bringing in actors who didn't even portray a DC character in a finished film, there's reason to think they could bring in Berry.
