Hades is a game full of fast paced gameplay, unlockable items, some very difficult bosses, and interesting interactions. One aspect of the game is buying different contracts from the House Contractor to make the House of Hades a better looking place, and the path leading to the over world more pleasant.

To do so, players require a lot of gemstones, a resource that players can gather on their forays out of the underworld. Going outside without any preparation will lead to a disappointingly low yield. Here's everything players can do to make their gemstone stores fill up.

How To Get Gemstones In Hades

Players will naturally obtain a handful of gemstones on their runs. They mostly come in the form of room rewards, though players can get them from other sources as well. Here are all the ways to get gemstones in Hades:

Chamber rewards
Infernal Trove rewards
Charon's Well
Wretched Broker (limited deals)
Exchanging fish with the Head Cook

How To Farm Gemstones

When it comes to maximizing gemstones, the best bet players have is to look for Infernal Troves that reward them with gems. These give players a decent sized chunk of the resource, and make the run worth it. However, there are other strategies players can adapt to make each run yield as many gemstones as possible:

Boons: Players need two boons, one from Poseidon and one from Chaos. These are Ocean's Bounty and Eclipse, respectively. Both these boons increase the amount of gems players will receive during their run.
Fishing: One of the better ways to earn gemstones is by fishing, and turning in the caught fish to the Head Cook.
Well of Charon: The Well of Charon has a few items that are must-haves when farming for gemstones. These include items that guarantee an Infernal Trove, a Chaos gate, a high rarity boon, and gems.
Wretched Broker: The Wretched Broker has limited time offers that let players exchange certain items for a lot of gems. Always check out its shop before venturing out for another run.
House Contracter Work Orders: Players need to unlock the following work orders from the House Contractor in order to maximize their gem farming capacity.
- Rod Of Fishing: It unlocks the fishing rod which lets players catch fishes for trade.
- Darker Thirst: It enhances Dark Thirst, giving players a 20% boost to gems found as well as darkness.
- Plunder: It spawns Infernal Troves in chambers, letting players challenge the world for a reward.
- Vanquisher's Keep: It gives the player gemstones as a reward for defeating the bosses.
Weapons: Choose the weapon which has Darker Thirst activated.
