While there are plenty of resources to collect in Hades, some are more important than others, particularly for gamers who want to raise their Affinity levels with various NPCs. Players can give most characters Nectar in order to raise Zagreus' Affinity level with them up to a certain point, which will also unlock a quest, sometimes in the form of a Favor.

Using Nectar For Raising Affinity Levels With NPCs
The part of Hades that will take the most Nectar overall is the Affinity level raising requirements for pretty much every character that can be interacted with outside of combat. Each of these characters needs around 5 to 6 Nectar to unlock their quest or Favor. However, upon the first gifting of Nectar to each character, Zagreus will get a Keepsake from them.
Using Nectar To Gain Heart Of Stones From Bouldy
The sentient boulder may not have an Affinity level or a Keepsake to give Zagreus, however, they will grant one a random buff through a Heart of Stone, which players can buy once per escape attempt. If Zagreus encounters Bouldy in a run, 1 Nectar can be traded for a Heart of Stone.
Using Nectar To Trade With The Wretched Broker
The Wretched Broker is an NPC in the House of Hades that can be found in the lounge area, and players can trade a variety of goods with them, including Nectar. There are quite a lot of trade options that will require a bit of luck and timing to sometimes find, so be sure to check back with the Broker once in a while to see what has changed. However, players will often find a trade that involves Nectar.

Using Nectar To Gain Gamma Ranks For Titles
After completing the game at least once, players will unlock the ability to gain titles through meeting the Resource Director in Hades' Bedchambers. These titles are purely symbolic, though can be ranked up by trading resources with the Director. Each rank requires a different resource, with the Gamma ranks of each respective title needing 5 Nectar each to be attained (as well as 1,500 Darkness).
Using Nectar To Trade With The House Contractor
It is possible to trade Nectar with the House Contractor found in the Main Hall of the House of Hades, however, they only accept the golden liquid as payment for a single item. If players are looking to redecorate, Zagreus can potentially purchase the Woodland Theme from the House Contractor for 100 Nectar.

Getting Nectar By Clearing Rooms
By far the most consistent method of gaining Nectar is as a reward for clearing a room. While the amount and the frequency have no reliable pattern, doing more and more runs will net more and more Nectar.

Fishing can be done in many areas, however, only the fish species caught in Elysium can be turned in to the Head Chef of the House of Hades after a run for some Nectar.

If players have unlocked this feature for Zagreus' room by buying it from the House Contractor, players can get 3 Nectar by completing the prophecy listed as "Distant Relatives", which requires one to meet the various Greek gods in the game.
Getting Nectar From Infernal Troves
Once in while, players will come across these treasure chests that require Zagreus to defeat waves of foes before opening them. If all enemies get cleared out, there is a 5% chance that some Nectar will drop as a reward along with the treasure chest's regular contents.
Getting Nectar From A Boon
There are a couple of boons in the game that can grant a bit of Nectar. The first is Dionysus' boon, Premium Vintage, which will give the player 1 Nectar upon being chosen (as well as providing other effects). The other is Poseidon's boon, Sunken Treasure, which has a 10% chance of granting Nectar.
