Hades 2 is one of those games that requires a whole bunch of materials to buy new weapons, unlock gathering tools, and more. There is a massive list of indulgences, greeneries, and reagents you need to pick up in Hades 2, and one of these is an item known as F-Fabric or Fate Fabric.

This item is required for "incantations involving chance and fortune" as is stated in the game. You can only get this fated textile by purchasing it from one of the vendors you will find, and sometimes from the NPC Arachne.

Where to Get F-Fabric in Hades 2

Fate Fabric can be purchased from the Wretched Broker in Hades 2. In order to pick some up for yourself, you'll need to pay 60 bones for each one. On some rare occasions, you can also sometimes get this item for free from the NPC Arachne, who you can come across during a run; she offers a dress that gives F-Fabric as its special power. But, if you want to be able to buy as many as you please, you will need to unlock the Wretched Broker first.

How to Unlock the Wretched Broker in Hades 2

To get access to F-Fabric, you will first need to unlock the Wretched Broker by performing the Summoning of Mercantile Fortune incantation. You'll need to interact with the Cauldron in the Crossroads hub between runs, and choose to complete the Summoning of Mercantile Fortune; it will cost you 10 Bones, which is the currency you get from some rooms as a reward for completing them with certain weapons.

After this incantation has been performed, you'll get access to the Wretched Broker, who will appear in the hub as well, to the south of the Cauldron. Interact with it, and it will offer you items like Ashes, Psyche, and all the F-Fabric you could want. Later on, you can unlock more items for the Wretched Broker to sell, like Moon Dust, Bath Salts, and Nectar.

How To Use F-Fabric in Hades 2

F-Fabric is a resource needed to complete several of the Incantations at the Cauldron. This list is not complete, as Hades 2 is still in Early Access, but F-Fabric will be needed for the following:

  • Abyssal Insight (Two Fate Fabric, two Pearl, two Moly, and two Nightshade): Unlocks Trials you can attempt for Star Dust.
  • Consecration of Ashes (Six Hades 2 Ash, a Cinder, and six Fate Fabric): Allows you to enhance your Arcana Cards at the altar.
  • Doomed Beckoning (Three F-Fabric and a Nightshade): Summons Moros to the Crossroads.
  • Empath’s Intuition (A Fate Fabric and three Myrtle): The Book of Shadows will show your relationship progress with each character.
  • Propensity Toward Gold (A Lime and a Fate Fabric): Golden urns appear on runs and drop gold when broken.
  • Rod of Fishing (One Bronze and three F-Fabric): Capture river denizens, which can be traded for Bones.
  • Rush of Fresh Air (Three Fate Fabric, a Wool, and two Driftwood): Unlocks Shrines of Hermes on the surface route.
