Utilizing the Hestia Sister Blades build in Hades 2 requires more than simply obtaining the right Boons, as players should also know how to use the build effectively. The Everlasting Ember Keepsake is a must, as it will increase the player's chances of finding a Hestia Boon. Players that don't already have Everlasting Ember should simply gift Hestia some Nectar. Additionally, The Wayward Son, The Furies, The Titan, and The Unseen Arcana cards are all highly beneficial to the Hestia Sister Blades build, as they grant healing, bonus damage to Casts, increased health and magick, and magick restoration, respectively.

To make full use of the Hestia Sister Blades build, players should prioritize obtaining the best Hestia Boons available for it. These include Flame Strike, Flame Flourish, Soot Sprint, and Smolder Ring. Flame Strike causes the player's attacks to inflict Scorch, Flame Flourish causes the player's Specials to inflict Scorch, Soot Sprint allows Melinoe's Sprint to destroy most ranged shots and inflict Scorch on those who fired them, and Smolder Ring causes the player's Casts to repeatedly inflict Scorch on foes. Though not a Hestia Boon, players can also benefit from Fixed Gain, which decreases the damage they take by 10% and restores Magick whenever they take damage.

Since this Hestia Sister Blades build heavily relies on inflicting Scorch, the best way to play it is to build up Scorch on an enemy as much as possible and then keep away from them while they burn. Scorch can be inflicted using basic attacks, Specials, and Casts. Then players can use Melinoe's unique Sprint ability to avoid damage and inflict Scorch on any enemies who target her with ranged attacks. When used correctly, it is a highly effective build, as it promotes continuous damage and survivability.
