Poseidon's Boons in Hades 2 primarily focuses on pushing enemies back with powerful water-based splash attacks and receiving more rewards during your run. Of course, the god's Boons aren't all amazing, so this ranking will give readers the rundown on the best Poseidon Boons in Hades 2. All the Boons listed here can be useful in their own ways, but the ones towards the bottom of the list are hands-down the ones to prioritize on your way to beat Chronos to make saving the Underworld a tad more doable.

This ranking of Poseidon's Boons in Hades 2 does not include the special Duo Boons . It only covers the god of the sea's main Boons.

12 Ocean's Bounty

Of course, getting more Gold during a run can be pretty useful if you want to buy a helpful Boon from Charon's shop. Still, the Boons we're looking for need to be powerful and great at assisting Melinoe in actually taking down Hades 2's bosses (Guardians), like Hecate. There are way better Boons for Poseidon to choose from.

11 Sunken Treasure

While a decent Boon like Ocean's Bounty, Sunken Treasure is great for obtaining some important resources like Ashes and Grasp, it's not going to make Melinoe deal stronger attacks, which is why we decided to leave this one towards the bottom of the list.

10 Water Fitness

While you have at least 4 Water, gain Max Life	Water

Water Fitness will give you +100 max life if you have four other Water-based Boons. This is going to be a pretty good pick if you plan on utilizing Poseidon's other Boons during a run, maximizing Melinoe's staying power. Lasting longer during a tough boss fight is certainly a nice perk to have. However, if you are using a mix of other Boons with Poseidon's to get a good build, it might be worth skipping out on this one.

9 Crashing Wave

This one is pretty self-explanatory, but if you knock an enemy into a barrier using one of Poseidon's knock-away Boons, it'll make a blast that damages other enemies nearby.

8 Hydraulic Might

Hydraulic Might gives Melinoe a power boost for the first couple of seconds after you enter a new room, making it super easy to clear a lot of enemies in a short amount of time. You'll be able to get through the area a little faster and prevent Melinoe from taking extra hits since there will be fewer enemies around. It's not the most useful Boon for defeating bosses, as those fights will last a couple of minutes, and Melinoe will lose the boost quickly. Still, it's not a bad pick for anyone looking for a little advantage for each Encounter.

7 Slippery Slope

Your splash effects from Poseidon also inflict Slip on foes	Water

If you end up grabbing the Wave Flourish / Wave Strike Boons from Poseidon, which we'll discuss further in the list, you'll be able to push enemies away using splash effects. And if you pick the Slippery Slope Boon, the effects from the splash will also inflict the Slip Curse on foes, causing them to take more damage. Doing more damage is always a good thing.

6 Flood Control

As long as you have a way to restore your Magick, snagging Poseidon's Flood Control Boon is a solid choice. Each time you enter a new room, 30 Magick will be removed from your overall total in order to reduce the amount of damage Melinoe takes from enemies, including bosses. And the more you upgrade the Boon, the less damage she'll take.

5 Double Up

On the surface, Poseidon's Double Up Boon might not seem that exciting, but when you can double up on your Poms of Power, gold coins, and other items you find out on a run, it's more than meets the eye.

4 Wave Flourish / Wave Strike

Poseidon's Attack and Special-enhancing Boons, Wave Strike and Wave Flourish, are definitely safe picks to go for when it comes to amping up your weapon. The Water elemental Boons will hit enemies with a splash that knocks them away --it's a useful Boon for clearing foes away from Melinoe, creating a safe space for retreat.

3 Fluid Gain

Fluid Gain is a godsend if you want to keep your Magick meter as high as possible. Pairing Fluid Gain with something like Breaker Sprint, the #1 Boon on this list, you can tear and rip apart monsters faster than they can spawn. Every time you hit a foe with your weapon, there's a chance for a Magick-restoring Spirit Bubble to appear during an Encounter. Having the bubble around will ensure you can keep using Omega and Special attacks without fear of running out of Magick.

Though Hades 2 is only in Early Access right now, it still offers a nearly complete experience – and takes a considerable amount of time to finish.

2 Geyser Ring

If you hold down the Cast button, Melinoe will usually summon a circle that deals damage to enemies inside it after a few seconds, but with the Geyser Ring, the suped-up Cast will do damage immediately, knocking enemies away. If you don't like waiting for the Omega Cast damage to activate, this is a fantastic Boon for you. If you're starting to get surrounded by foes, a quick Cast with Geyser Ring will clear them out fast.

1 Breaker Sprint

When you have the Breaker Sprint Boon equipped, you can run fast around the dungeons and deal damage to any foe in your path, knocking them away in the process. This is a fantastic Boon for crowd control, especially when the enemies are a little on the weaker side. Still, even in tough encounters, you can easily flee from danger while also doing pretty powerful damage to those around you. The only downside to Breaker Sprint is that it will use up Melinoe's Magick every time you hit someone with the ability. However, pairing this with a Magick-restoration Boon will work wonders to get closer to Chronos.
