The second character of Guilty Gear Strive's Season Pass 2 has officially been revealed, with Arc System Works adding the fan-favorite son of Ky Kiske, Sin, to the roster. Guilty Gear Strive has been a hit for fighting game developer Arc System Works last year, becoming both a critical and commercial success. With the game now on its second season pass of content, the roster continues to expand with both new and veteran fighters from across the series.

Following the premiere fighting game tournament EVO, Arc System Works gave fans a roadmap of what to expect, including release windows of certain anticipated elements. In regards to DLC characters, it stated that two characters will be added in 2022 with the rest in the following year. Following Bridget's addition to Strive as the first character of this season pass, the second one has been announced to be another veteran to the series, Sin Kiske.

Sin made his first appearance in Guilty Gear 2 -Overture- and was raised by series protagonist Sol Badguy. However, he was born from series mainstays Dizzy and Ky Kiske, which unknowingly made Sol his grandfather, among other revelations. He has made playable appearances in Overture and Xrd, but was only seen in Strive's epilogue, along with having a non-playable role in the Guilty Gear -Another Story- DLC Expansion. The latest trailer showcases Sin's joining the action after being absent from the base roster, with players not needing to wait long for his release: November 24, 2022.

Much like Sin's other playable appearances, he uses a flag as his main weapon and is billed to be an easy-to-use character in Strive. Sin excels in close-range combat with a rushdown type of moveset, but has a variety of special moves that have excellent reach. He also seems to be retaining a system from his playable iteration in Xrd, where he can perform multi-input special moves, but will grow tired with repeated usage and drain his calorie meter. Players must restore this calorie meter by eating a piece of food in the middle of a fight.

Fans have noticed that one of Sin's moves is "Tyrant Rage," which is one of Sol's attacks, with another one of his Overdrive attacks being from Ky. Fans loved these additions, as they show their familial connection to both characters. Some also noticed that Sin says "mom's waiting," which ignited some fans' hopes that Dizzy will be the next DLC Character for Strive. The remaining two characters for the second season pass will be added throughout 2023, adding both a new character and stage.

Guilty Gear Strive is available on PC, PS4, and PS5.
