Guilty Gear Strive has enjoyed a strong amount of support after its launch, with its third season of DLC concluding a little over a month ago. Season 4 has already been announced, with its first character reveal likely right on the horizon. The game's previous additions give quite a lot of context as to who may be making it into Guilty Gear Strive this time around, and there are plenty of characters who deserve the spot.

Guilty Gear Strive will be featured at EVO 2024, the biggest fighting game tournament in the world. EVO is only a month away, with major announcements likely to accompany each game in attendance. Season 3's last character, Slayer, was announced at the same time that Season 4 was confirmed to be in development. Guilty Gear Strive Season 4 DLC Character Wishlist

Guilty Gear Strive recently conducted a popularity poll, and the results are likely to be influential for future inclusions. After all, the entirety of Season 3's DLC was made up of characters who had dominated the poll's results. With that in mind, it is likely that Strive will continue to adhere to these results for future inclusions.

There's one character who deserves the spot so much, she seems to be consuming much of the speculation already. The half-gear Dizzy is already favored in Guilty Gear's promotional crossovers, and she has watched idly as her entire family has made it into the game. Dizzy's inclusion would provide exciting interactions with other fan-favorite characters like Sol Badguy and Testament. Dizzy's extremely high placement on the popularity poll proved her status as a fan-favorite in her own right, so it's high time she joins her family.

Though he may have retired from the Assassin's Guild, Venom's skills surely haven't rusted a day. Venom has an extremely unique moveset that is still not represented by any other character in the game. Most importantly, the story of Guilty Gear Strive is all about showcasing how its characters have progressed from where they once were. Many characters like Bridget reflect on how far they've come, and the better life they're moving onto. Thanks to his ending in Xrd, Venom is more suited to show off his journey than anyone else.

Guilty Gear features a sizable cast of characters, and one recurring character has yet to make his playable debut despite his prominence in the series. Considering the addition of other longstanding characters like Asuka, Guilty Gear Strive could finally give Gabriel the chance he deserves. Gabriel is the immensely powerful president of Zepp, the mentor of Potemkin, and the rival of Slayer, a perfect blend of connections that makes him ripe for inclusion.

The One Character Guilty Gear Strive Needs Most

The most surprising announcement of all, and an entirely welcome one, would be the announcement of an entirely new character. Guilty Gear Strive has focused on returning fighters, with only five of the game's twenty-eight characters being newcomers. These newcomers were some of the game's most interesting inclusions, too.

Introducing a character who has never appeared in the series before could do wonders for the game in a variety of ways. For one, they could have a wholly unique playstyle not seen in the series before. Likewise, they could carry fascinating implications for the series' expansive lore. Most importantly, it would provide a nice break from the recent trend of returning characters, and shake up the future of Guilty Gear Strive.

Guilty Gear may in fact already be teeing up such an inclusion with the recent announcement of Guilty Gear Dual Rulers, an upcoming anime series that seems to be following up Strive's story. The promotional image released alongside the announcement prominently features three characters: Sol Badguy, Sin Kiske, and an enigmatic character that has never been seen before. Though not much is known about this new character, she has the potential to bring a whole new flavor to Guilty Gear Strive.
