Arc System Works teases fans with the release date of the next DLC character coming to Guilty Gear Strive via a short teaser trailer. This video was broadcasted during the second day of ArcRevo, a fighting game tournament hosted by Arc System Works itself. During this tournament showing high-level play of Guilty Gear Strive, there were some intermittent announcements made throughout the livestream. One of these was the confirmation of balancing updates for the game, along with the surprise announcement of Xbox versions of the title.

These Xbox versions are going to be released in 2023, and will also support crossplay between Guilty Gear Strive's other versions on PC and PlayStation. However, near the end of the eight-hour livestream, fans were treated to one more surprise before it went offline: a brief teaser trailer of the next character and its upcoming release next year.

This short teaser trailer (shown at 8:25:25 mark for the VOD) interrupted the stream with static-filled images, before cutting to show some quick shots from the cutscenes of the Guilty Gear Strive -Another Story- DLC Expansion. It contains a few familiar scenes from th game, even showing characters like Baiken and Ramlethal Valentine, with most of the focus being on Bedman, an integral character of the expansion. It then fades to black before revealing that the next character will be coming in March 2023.

This focus on Bedman is supporting a leak that came out a week prior, where it listed a potential DLC character for Strive's Season 2 Pass. According to this leak, it involved pre-fight dialogue with a character in the files known as DLL, with the leaker suspecting it might be Delilah. Delilah was introduced in the aforementioned -Another Story- DLC as Bedman's sister, who was also an integral part of said DLC as well. Considering the teaser trailer composed of the cutscenes from this story mode, it's likely that Delilah will be debuting as the next playable character of Season 2, though this is only speculation for now.

The second season pass of Guilty Gear Strive was released earlier this year, with the first two characters added being returning veterans of the franchise. The first character was Bridget, who came back in August, with Sin Kiske following near the end of November. Once March rolls around, there will only be one character left of the season pass, which will also be coming to the game in 2023.

Guilty Gear Strive is available on PC, PS4, and PS5. Xbox One and Series X/S versions will come in 2023.
