Today, the publisher and developer Telltale Games has revealed that the release date for the second episode in its serialized graphic adventure Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series will be June 6, 2017. Continuing the musical mixtape theme of the previous entry, the title of the forthcoming installment is set to be "Under Pressure," which is an homage to Queen and David Bowie's iconic song of the same name.

In addition to the release date for the next episode, Telltale Games has shared some clues as to what players can expect from the forthcoming story, with the company explaining that the Guardians are going to continue to try to outrun their past while at the same time dealing with the power of the mysterious relic in their possession, all while evading the "genocidal maniac" hunting them down. Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series fans should also anticipate to encounter rising tensions threatening to fracture them apart, and a look into Rocket Raccoon's past.

For those unaware, Episode 1 for Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, "Tangled Up in Blue," launched back on April 18, 2017, so it looks as if the publisher and developer will be spacing out the release of each entry by about a month or so. Of course, there's always the possibility of production hitting a few snags along the way, so such an assertion is simply conjecture at this point in time.

As of now, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is available on practically every current generation platform, and the release of the next episode will prove to be no different. That said, though, the one major system that's missing out on the action is the Nintendo Switch. Nevertheless, product listings from several different retailers in the past have indicated that Telltale’s adaptation of the Marvel franchise could possibly be jumping to the Big N's latest console sometime in the future.

Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series' second episode, "Under Pressure," launches on June 6, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, as well as on iOS and Android devices.
