It's hard to imagine that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is now two decades old. It may have aged in terms of its visuals, but it still has that GTA charm and replayability, not to mention being a game with one of the best cities and most distinctive settings. Despite its age, many people still go back to it, and there are plenty of mods out there that keep things fresh, including one which took the developer ten years to complete.

As spotted by PCGamesN, modder bibidibabidibu has uploaded an ambitious add-on for Vice City that adds a massive amount of content to the original game. Simply referred to as "Extended Features," a recent video gives a sneak peek at what the mod has, as well as listing the number of people that have been involved in making it. Some things that it's implemented include extra vehicles, such as a new hovercraft and jet-ski, additional clothes, a Ferris wheel, as well as new side missions, interiors, scripts, weapons, mini-games, and much more.

It really does sound like it's one incredible mod for Vice City. Despite being twenty years old at this point, the game is evidently not something that is being left behind by the fan base, despite there being newer installments in the series. The description on ModDB calls this one of the "biggest extension mods" for the game and goes a long way to making sure it doesn't break the vanilla experience. The fact that it took a bunch of people a decade to make is incredible as well and only further highlights just how much work has gone into it.

There is even more in Rockstar's 2002 release than originally thought, as well. Recently, a cut mission from Vice City was discovered, which was allegedly never meant for the public to see. On top of that, someone else has managed to do a rendition of the game within the Unreal Engine, showing what a potential modern remake of this beloved classic could look like in this day and age.

Given the fact that the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition was a huge letdown, it's good to know that there are fans and teams of developers out there who are willing to show the game a lot of love. The "Extended Features" mod could be the ultimate add-on for anyone who still loves playing this visually iconic GTA entry, but feel they've seen everything already.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City originally released in 2002 for PS2.
