Rockstar Games recently released the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, which remasters the trilogy of GTA 3, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas. Fans have discovered a new love for the classic Grand Theft Auto titles since the remasters were released, including the max muscle CJ in San Andreas.

Reddit user Luf2222 recently shared an image of two versions of CJ from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, both of which were maximum muscles and minimum fat. The side-by-side comparisons between the new CJ and the classic CJ illustrate the changes not only to the environment and lighting but the character model of San Andreas' main character. Despite the old CJ's jagged edges to his frame, some GTA fans are voicing their appreciation for the original max muscle look over the remastered version.

Luf2222's max muscle CJ comparison shows how much of the main character's model has been changed in the GTA trilogy remaster, extending beyond smoothing out his arms and legs. Although it's easier to compare the new CJ to a real human, the max muscle version of the remastered CJ is getting criticized for lacking a neck. On top of the muscular thickness connecting CJ's shoulders directly to his head, the new character model also appears to have fewer or less defined abs than the CJ in the original Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

Because of the revamped lighting in the remasters, the revamped CJ character model with GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition has more distinguishable definition to him. His face is also more expressive compared to CJ from the original GTA San Andreas, making the emotion of the character more prominent throughout the story. The character also has improved hands compared to the original model, making it more clear how he handles various objects, weapons, etc.

Although Rockstar Games only recently released GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, it's already having problems with it beyond persistent bugs and new visual glitches. The PC version of Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: The Definitive Edition has already been taken down and prior to its release, the original versions of the remastered games were removed from PC storefronts making the remasters the only way to play the classic titles.

Issues surrounding the launch of GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition extend beyond the three remastered titles as the Rockstar Games launcher has also encountered several issues since the release of the collection. Several GTA fans have reported to Rockstar Games that they were having connection issues upon the release of GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, causing the Rockstar Games launcher to be taken down temporarily alongside the collection of games. Rockstar Games has had no issues with its PC launcher in the past despite offering free titles like the Epic Games Store at certain times.

Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: The Definitive Edition is available right now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
