A Grand Theft Auto 4 player recently completed an astoundingly difficult speedrun of the popular open-world game to a relatively small audience. While the spotlight for much of the past decade has been dominated by Grand Theft Auto 5 and the upcoming GTA 6, fans have continued to flock to the first entry of the franchise's HD era. Fans have often created tributes to the beloved game's characters, with one even making a full-scale recreation of Liberty City in Unreal Engine 5. A small Grand Theft Auto streamer named Droo recently finished an impressive speedrun of GTA 4. The 6-hour-long speedrun streamed to Droo's Twitch channel showcases him completing a playthrough of Grand Theft Auto 4 using a "one-hit KO" mod, greatly enhancing the difficulty of the run. According to an interview with PCGamer, Droo claimed to have put more than 1500 hours into practicing the speedrun. Droo also performed the spectacular speedrun to a relatively small audience, with less than 20 subscribers on YouTube and just over 1,000 followers on Twitch.

Droo's incredible run of Grand Theft Auto 4 comes as the game reportedly offers plenty of headaches for players attempting to complete damage-less runs. The streamer would cite several instances where players can take minuscule damage, including "ragdoll" mechanics and ineffective use of cover within the game. He would also mention multiple mechanics in Grand Theft Auto 4 offering players an advantage in no-damage playthroughs, including tricks with in-game missions and the Police Vigilante feature.

While Grand Theft Auto 4 and GTA 5 continue to be popular among fans, many have been waiting anxiously for news about the in-development Grand Theft Auto 6. While Rockstar has yet to release any official looks at the game, the upcoming open-world adventure has seen plenty of leaks throughout recent months. One of the most prominent leaks saw over 90 in-development videos of GTA 6 shared by a teenage hacker using an Amazon Fire Stick. Fans will likely be waiting a while for GTA 6, continuing to revisit the beloved entries of Rockstar's HD era.

Grand Theft Auto 4 is available now for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
