According to Take-Two Interactive, player engagement is up for both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online.

GTA Online to Add Bounty Hunting Business Soon

The developer has now detailed its plans for the game's first 2024 update, which is scheduled to debut this summer. The DLC will allow players to start their own bounty hunting and bail enforcement business, the company said. The specifics of how this venture will be started are currently unclear. Many GTA Online businesses require an upfront investment to set up, but since the game is nowadays looking like it's running out of (re)usable enterprise interiors, that may not necessarily be the case with this upcoming venture.

New Vincent Missions Coming to GTA Online

The summer 2024 DLC will also continue the story of Vincent Effenburger, who was a prominent character in the GTA Online Cluckin' Bell heist. Specifically, the officer will require the player's help in conducting some off-the-books operations throughout Los Santos. While the specifics of these missions are yet to be disclosed, it would appear that whatever tasks Vincent will have to offer will keep in line with the vigilante theme of the upcoming expansion.

The new DLC will also allow players to put together custom drag and drift races in the Creator, which will be expanded with an assortment of accompanying props and tools. To that end, the developers are also planning to make the process of testing custom GTA Online races easier by allowing players to launch tests from any checkpoint. Rockstar has even hinted that some improvements to sharing races are on the horizon, albeit without elaborating on the matter.

As per usual, the developer is planning to offer payout boosts as part of its next update. The new set of bonuses will affect Operation Paper Trail, Open Wheel Races, and Taxi Work missions, among others. The new expansion is also set to introduce a number of community-requested improvements, including an increased Sell Mission timer for solo players. Fans have been asking for this particular change for over half a decade at this point. The summer 2024 update for GTA Online is still without a release date, with Rockstar promising to share more details about the upcoming expansion in the coming weeks.
