Grand Theft Auto Online has been dominating as a relatively tight-knit, online multiplayer hub. Though glitches and mods are not exclusive to Grand Theft Auto Online as an interactive, open-world environment, fans have been capturing memorable and exciting moments online.
Grand Theft Auto Online's roleplay servers have been sharing the limelight of Twitch streamers as new communities are being generated. But old-fashioned glitches found during casual play of Grand Theft Auto Online continue to highlight some of the more interesting moments the game has to offer, and this time with a striking resemblance to a particular Marvel superhero.
From a fan going by the name of u/stondddd, a video has been shared that demonstrates one of the many glitches Grand Theft Auto Online may offer with surprising effect. The fan’s video showcases their protagonist character destroying security shipments onboard an armored truck using explosives. As the fan states, the fire glitch makes the player look like Marvel's Ghost Rider due to the character and their motorcycle being completely ablaze as they race along the road.
However, while the player does not appear to be in close proximity to the truck as it erupts in the explosion, the player ends up being engulfed by the explosion’s flame. u/stondddd reveals in the video’s comments section that they perished off-screen almost instantly once the video ends. The glitch was seemingly unintentional, but the resemblance to the hellish biker superhero is uncanny as fire trails behind the motorcycle.
The video has since inspired other fans to attempt the glitch themselves with similar results. U/TheRealMurda10k creatively improvises on the glitch that u/stondddd happened upon, and perhaps creates a reliable means for players to try, where they set fire beneath themselves while on a motorcycle and speed off once the fire has spread.
This has given the fan a comparable result where only the motorcycle is engulfed in flames, and u/TheRealMurda10k's demonstration continues with a stylish display of tricks while roleplaying as an improvised Ghost Rider. Other users suggest that players wear a "skull mask and leather jacket" to further complete the look. While becoming Ghost Rider is a recent glitch fans have found entertaining, there have been many motorcycle stunts performed in Grand Theft Auto Online, and perhaps fans may enjoy integrating the superhero's look into future content.
Content is continuously being updated and added to Grand Theft Auto Online, such as Casino Work heist missions and Stunt Races. Unfortunately, the fire glitch does not last for long according to fans performing it. Rather, it makes for entertaining content as fans are able to pull off quick stunts and high-speed pursuits while emulating Ghost Rider.
