GTA 6: 5 Story Hints In The Reveal Trailer

The first look at Grand Theft Auto 6 is finally here, and there is plenty to look forward to story-wise.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City still stands as one of the franchise's best titles, and there is no doubt that all the incredible songs featured on the radio stations in the game played a pivotal role in its success. As fans will be making a return to Vice City in Leonida, it would be great to see a few of these classic songs make an appearance in the long-anticipated title.

5 "Billie Jean" - Michael Jackson

Present On Flash FM In Vice City

Grand Theft Auto 6

If there is any song that should return for players' listening enjoyment while driving through Leonida, it is Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean." Besides the fame and popularity that stems from the beloved artist, this was a song that always played at just the perfect moment while traversing through Vice City with Tommy Vercetti.

While it might be a difficult task to have this song return as it was omitted from the Vice City Definitive Edition, it would be perfect for the mood and tone that GTA 6 will likely go for. If regions such as the Malibu Club make a return, this is a song that would send players the same funky and lively vibe Vice City provided originally.

4 "Automatic" - The Pointer Sisters

Present On Fever 105 In Vice City

Grand Theft Auto 6

It is important to remember that GTA 6 will be in a modern-day setting, but if fans were able to get a radio dedicated to classic songs, this should certainly be included. Frequently played when the player enters the Malibu Club, The Pointer Sisters' classic 1983 song is chock-full of strong party and celebration vibes throughout, which is hugely representative of GTA: Vice City.

Grand Theft Auto 6: 9 Questions We Still Have After The First Trailer

The first GTA 6 trailer offers a brief look at what's to come in the Grand Theft Auto series, but it still left fans with some questions.

This is dependent on what kind of radio stations will be present in GTA 6, especially since its first trailer suggests a push toward a more modern tone, which will include new songs of today without a doubt. Just like the aforementioned "Billie Jean," hearing this play while traversing through a modern version of Vice City, now on a larger map, will take players on a nostalgia trip while they enjoy all of the new features the game has to offer.

3 "All Night Long" - Mary Jane Girls

Present On Fever 105 In Vice City

Grand Theft Auto 6

From what looks very similar to the original's Malibu Club in the reveal trailer, one song that comes to mind that would be very befitting is Mary Jane Girls' "All Night Long." During a particular mission, this song can be heard echoing in the background during a cutscene, adding to the aesthetic of the scene and the overall game.

The same applies when driving through the entire map while scrolling over to Fever 105, and many fans will agree that this is one of the game's best songs. If dancing is an activity that can be done just like it is in GTA: San Andreas, then hearing this would amplify each and every sequence that players will hear it in.

2 "Africa" - Toto

Present On Emotion 98.3 In Vice City

Grand Theft Auto 6

For more emotional and steady beats, Toto's "Africa" further amplified moments of downtime or when players were driving freely through Vice City's streets. Considering the potential Bonnie and Clyde-inspired love storyline between GTA 6's main characters, a classic song as such would fit the circumstances perfectly.

Alongside some of the more modern emotional tunes, just as GTA 5 did with some old-school songs, GTA 6 could do the same by combining some of the popular music of today with what fans know and love from Vice City and more. Many are excited to see brand-new aspects within the franchise, but it is highly unlikely for fans to be opposed to this song making a comeback.

1 "Dance Hall Days" - Wang Chung

Present On Flash FM In Vice City

GTA 6 first trailer footage with muddy rednecks

Adhering to almost any situation in GTA: Vice City, especially NPCs dancing at the Malibu Club, is Wang Chung's "Dance Hall Days." This is a song that could very easily pass as a trailer song for GTA 6, and it could also make for a classic disco song that plays during a mission, romance sequence, and much more.

There is no guarantee that any of these songs will be making a return, particularly as Rockstar has removed classic songs from their GTA installments present in the Definitive Edition. Despite this, it would delight a large majority of fans to hear these nostalgic tracks once again after these many years.
