A mysterious internet page recently surfaced that caused a surge in GTA 6 rumors and speculation as Rockstar Games does little to dispel rumors of the next-gen Grand Theft Auto. While Rockstar Games hasn't confirmed or denied rumors circulating about Grand Theft Auto 6, a prominent leaker suggested that this web page could be hinting at future GTA Online content if not Grand Theft Auto 6.

On April 6th, Rockstar Games posted a news page for Naturalist rewards in Red Dead Redemption Online, but just a day later they hinted at something far more interesting to the Grand Theft Auto community. The mysterious web page listed shortly thereafter by Rockstar Games doesn't give GTA fans much to go by, as it's simply numbered 62005 and it gives viewers an error code (e398) when they try to view its contents.

Rockstar Games' web page numbered 62005 is causing plenty of Grand Theft Auto 6 rumors, but a prominent Grand Theft Auto leaker known as Tez2 is suggesting that the page is hinting at future GTA Online content. While Tez2 hasn't dispelled rumors about GTA 6 any more than Rockstar Games, it may be possible that Grand Theft Auto fans have an upcoming announcement to look forward to whether they're looking for more GTA Online or a straight-up sequel to the long-running franchise.

“So, Rockstar skipped an article once again," said leaker Tez2 on the GTA forums. "Could mean nothing or simply reserved for a ‘GTA Online Job Spotlight’ article etc. Heck, may not even have to do with GTA Online.”

YouTuber MrBossFTW has also chimed in on this Rockstar Games mystery page, claiming that Grand Theft Auto 6 is in full development and that it was likely in pre-production for a year or two. Rumors also suggest that development has fluctuated in completion since pre-production due to shifting direction. Some of the rumors circulating about GTA 6 involve the setting of the next Grand Theft Auto, suggesting either Miami, Las Vegas, Mexico City, Chicago (or Detroit), or a small town with more emphasis on realism and immersion. Considering Rockstar Games' page 62005 is a dead page with no information, the rumors arose from the fact that it exists rather than the information contained within it.

Grand Theft Auto 5 released way back in 2013 and it has since been ported to newer consoles, but fans of the series are clambering for an announcement for the next installment. While some fans are speculating that production is further along than expected, it looks like Rockstar Games doesn't have any information regarding GTA 6 at this time. Grand Theft Auto has a healthy community as GTA 5 has become the most profitable entertainment product of all time since it released and many of these fans are looking forward to the next title in the series.

Fans of GTA have been immersing themselves in GTA Online which is continually updated by Rockstar and it's likely that the release of GTA 6 will hurt the GTA Online community. GTA RP in particular has seen a huge boom recently amongst the streaming community so it will be interesting to see if Rockstar continues to support GTA 5 beyond the release of GTA 6.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently rumored to be in development.
