How To Find & Kill Termites
Players must head to the far northwest corner of the map to the Woodpile to find termites to the left of the Shed in the Upper Yard. The quickest way to get there is to locate the pipe just behind the Grill, jump the smaller gaps across the rocky Trenches, and head past the gum stuck to the bike in the dry grass area.
Termites may appear around the base of the Woodpile, so players are recommended to equip plenty of healing supplies like fiber bandages. They should also bring strong armor and weapons, such as the Crow Crossbow or Black Ant Sword. Players may come across standard, smaller Termites as well as larger Termite Soldiers.
Players can use their peeper goggles to peep termites to discover their weaknesses, including stabbing and salty attacks for Termite Soldiers. It can be effective to use distance weapons such as the Crow Crossbow to avoid the significant damage that termites dish out at close range, dodging any acid projectile attacks from Termite Soldiers.
Where To Find Tough Gunk
Tough Gunk sounds like it means business. That's no surprise considering it comes from many of the toughest bugs in the upper yard, such as Ladybird Lava, Roly Polys, and of course, Termites. What To Farm With The Tier 3 Termite Axe

- Lint: Players can use the Termite Axe to farm lint, which is used to make Lint Rope using the Spinning Wheel. Lint Rope is a tier 3 resource used to craft higher-level weapons and armor. Some clumps can be found by the Abandoned Gardening Glove near the Woodpile.
- Wooden Splinters: Players can harvest Wooden Splinters with the Termite Axe in wood areas such as the Woodpile. Wooden Splinters are used to craft higher-tier items such as Tier 3 Splinter Arrows.
- Dead Roots: The Termite Axe allows players access hidden areas behind otherwise impassable Dead Roots by chopping them down.
- Pupa: Players can use the Termite Axe to mine Pupa casings dotted about in areas like the Trenches near the Shed. This resource is needed to make items like Pupa Leather, an essential ingredient for the Tier 3 Hammer.
- Bur Weeds: The Termite Axe can chop down Bur Weeds found in dry grassy areas and in the Haze to obtain resources like Weed Stems and Spiky Burs, which are both handy building resources.
