Coin Guard Merchandise is one of the first side quests that players will be able to take on in GreedFall, and it seems that some people are having issues figuring out how to actually complete it. This quest will be found in GreedFall as soon as a cutscene with the main character's mother is finished.
GreedFall will instruct players to meet with Kurt in front of the palace, and then a cutscene will play out, and then Kurt will join the party. The secondary quest will now be available in the side quests menu within the journal. Setting the Coin Gaurd Merchandise quest as your primary quest should prove to be helpful.
Negotiate with the Vendor
The first part of this side quest tasks players with finding a vendor and negotiating with them. Follow the compass to the vendor, and he'll try to charge extra for items. Get through the dialog and then choose to either threaten or offer a bribe to accomplish this first quest step.
Now, players should follow the compass to the next location, which takes them to the Coin Guard Barracks. Once the quartermaster is spoken to, the next step will commence.
Finding a way to move the cargo to the ship will be the next task for the Coin Guard Merchandise side quest. Again, following the compass will take players right to the port, where a cutscene will happen with Vasco. A dialog option will appear, and players will need to ask him for help with the cargo. Next, tampering with the ship will be the goal.
Tamper with the Ship's Log
Again, following the compass for this task will take players to a building with some enemies inside of it. Once these foes are cleared, players should go upstairs and open up the treasure chest to get clothing items. Putting on the Sailor's outfit will help players out immensely in the next step. Also, heading to the desk in the room next door will complete th quest.
Clear out the Warehouse Guards
Once the player leaves the warehouse, they should turn left and then right until they see two men standing in front of another warehouse. As long as the Sailor outfit is equipped, speaking to them should be the step to complete this step of this GreedFall questline.
Informing the porters will be the next step and can be found by following the compass to a man in the Port Quarter. Once that is finished, players will need to head to the Coin Guard barracks to speak to Serene's quartermaster. The next quest will involve going to New Serene, a location that is only available to those who have finished GreedFall's prologue and have taken a boat to New Serene.
Go over to the barracks in New Serene, and the next tasks will involve locating and marking some crates. The markers will lead players to two separate warehouses, which will need to be investigated and then marked.
Once that is done, GreedFall players will need to head back to the quartermaster, and then the quest will finally be completed. The side quest will reward players with experience points, reputation, and 100 gold coins.
GreedFall is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. There's also a next-gen version in the works, which will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series S|X with added content and upgraded visuals.
