While it may not be quite as iconic or widely beloved as GTA: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is still one of the most fondly remembered games in the long-running crime franchise. First released all the way back in 2002, GTA: Vice City sees players take on the role of aspiring mobster Tommy Vercetti as he rises up the ranks of the titular 1980s Miami-inspired Vice City criminal underground.

Though its gameplay is a little barebones, its world design is a tad shallow, and its visuals look very outdated all these decades later, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is still worth remembering, being a pivotal part of the GTA franchise's evolution. And just like GTA 5 did with San Andreas, the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to honor Vice City's legacy by taking players back to the eponymous crime-ridden beachside city, giving Rockstar the perfect opportunity to bring back some classic Easter eggs.

The Best Vice City Easter Eggs for Grand Theft Auto 6 to Bring Back

The Easter Egg Room

Possibly one of the most on-the-nose Easter eggs in gaming history, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is home to a hidden room that literally features an Easter egg. Located in the Downtown Vice City area, players can find a building that has a mysterious open window. Jumping through that window will put players face-to-face with a bare room, with the only piece of furniture in it being a brown Easter egg atop a pedestal.

The Scarface Apartment

Set in the seedy criminal underbelly of a 1980s Miami-inspired city, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City takes a great deal of inspiration from movies and TV shows set in that location during that specific era. One of Vice City's most obvious points of inspiration was the iconic 1983 crime thriller Scarface, a film that sees Al Pacino play the fictional mobster Tony Montana as he builds a wildly successful drug empire in Miami, which is essentially the plot of Vice City's main story and protagonist.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City pays homage to one of its biggest inspirations in a number of ways, though its Scarface apartment Easter egg is probably the most well-known. Located in Apartment 3C near Ocean Beach, players can find a bathroom containing a chainsaw, and bloody outlines sprayed across the wall. This is a reference to Scarface's Sun Ray Hotel scene, in which Angel is brutally killed using a chainsaw.

Escobar International Airport

Another classic tongue-in-cheek Grand Theft Auto reference, Vice City's airport is named Escobar International Airport, directly referencing the infamous real-world drug lord. It's an incredibly overt Easter egg, but it might be fun to see it return in Grand Theft Auto 6, maybe with a new name that references a similarly infamous, but more modern criminal that better captures the game's new era.

The North Point Submarine

Found just north of North Point Mall, players can find a submarine lurking in GTA: Vice City's ocean. While players could never reach this submarine in the original Vice City, it would be great to see the Easter egg return in GTA 6, this time allowing the player to get right up close to it. Rockstar could go even further with this Easter egg in GTA 6, triggering some kind of side mission when players get close enough to the submarine, rewarding long-time fans for remembering the Easter egg.
