Many alleged hints towards Grand Theft Auto 6 come from Rockstar's most recent but decidedly controversial franchise project Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. One of the most interesting of the many hints within this remastered trilogy can be found within the title's version of San Andreas, more specifically within the alien-themed diner The Probe Inn.

In the original version of San Andreas, the interior of this location was heavily decorated with images of UFO sightings, but fans were quick to point out that Rockstar had changed these particular images in the remastered version of the game. In the Definitive Edition, most of the pictures within The Probe Inn consist of locations that featured in other Rockstar titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2 or even Grand Theft Auto 5, but there was one picture that cannot be traced back to a previous Rockstar game.

The picture in question simply consists of a white bungalow-style house with palm trees, with many fans believing that this is one of the first released images of GTA 6. This assumption comes from the untraceable origin of the photo, as well as the similarities the house and environment within the photo shares with Florida, with it being all but confirmed that GTA 6 will take place in a fictionalized version of this area of the USA.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Rockstar recently released the full official credits for Grand Theft Auto 5, marking the end of nearly a decade of consistent and successful post-launch development for the title. While these credits of course gave Grand Theft Auto 5 the lion's share of attention, fans additionally inferred information regarding its sequel from the announcement.

Within the credits, Rockstar conveyed how it needed to halt work on GTA 5 in order to "exceed player expectations" for Grand Theft Auto 6, with the company surprisingly also announcing a stop to additional content for Red Dead Online within a similar timeframe. While this is more of an overt acknowledgment of GTA 6, many fans considered the quote to be a hint at the scale and ambition that the title will possess, with Rockstar having to fully turn its attention away from other lucrative projects to achieve its vision.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out that one of the stylized helicopters on the holiday message was not from the Los Santos area of GTA 5, but actually harks back to an older setting.

The type of helicopter shown on the image actually belongs to the Vice City Police Department, which was of course the eponymous location of GTA: Vice City. Through the recent high-profile leaks for GTA 6, it is now known that Vice City will once again be the primary setting of the franchise, with many fans subsequently going on to believe that the inclusion of this particular helicopter in the message is a direct nod from Rockstar as to the setting of the upcoming sequel.
