Less than a month after Grand Theft Auto 5 hit shelves, Grand Theft Auto Online went live as well. Since then Rockstar has added a ton of content for players since its initial 2013 release date. One such addition was the inclusion of the Oppressor Mk 2 which was made available in 2018, as part of the After Hours update. However, the vehicle was not made available in Grand Theft Auto 5's single-player mode.

Cars play a big role in Grand Theft Auto 5 due to the nature of the open-world game. After the prologue section, one of the game's main protagonists, Franklin, has an initial job where he repossesses cars from a sketchy car salesman. As the game continues, the character gets involved in bigger crimes involving more elaborate and expensive vehicles. The fastest cars in Grand Theft Auto 5 often go for hundreds of thousands, if not millions, in in-game currency, and players will often turn them into scrap metal. However, for the most part, science fiction-style vehicles like the Oppressor Mk 2 were left out of the game's main story.

In Grand Theft Auto Online the Oppressor Mk 2 will cost the player $3,890,250, though the vehicle has been prone to glitches in the past. In one instance in Grand Theft Auto Online, the Oppressor Mk 2s were invisible, making it easier for players to troll others. In a more recent instance, Reddit user Jazzlike-Double4594 spotted one in Grand Theft Auto 5's main story mode. It isn't entirely clear why the Oppressor Mk 2 appeared in Grand Theft Auto 5's base game and the player sadly could not ride the vehicle. The Reddit user notes that even Franklin appears confused by the vehicle's appearance.

Bugs are relatively common throughout Grand Theft Auto Online. In one instance a Grand Theft Auto Online glitch effectively turned a player into Ghost Rider during a heist. Other glitches have ruined tennis matches, sent cars flying, and caused have been the source of many frustrating moments for gamers. However, the Grand Theft Auto Online bugs have rarely affected the single-player mode in the way Jazzlike-Double4594 experienced.

Since Grand Theft Auto 5 was released, it has been re-released several times since it initially hit shelves. It is often listed as the second best-selling video game of all time, behind only Minecraft with Grand Theft Auto Online earning the company over $6 billion in DLC and in-game purchases. While additional content will likely slow down as the company pivots towards Grand Theft Auto 6's development, updates like Criminal Enterprises indicate that players will still have things to do in the game for some time. Whether any of this content leaks into the base game, however, remains to be seen.

Grand Theft Auto Online is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
