If you're just starting your long adventure through the skies, then you're probably wondering where Griffin Feathers come from. As sparse as they are in the very early stretches of Granblue Fantasy: Relink, it won't take long before you can get your hands on these materials.
How to Get Griffin Feathers in Granblue Fantasy: Relink
As the item's name suggests, Griffin Feathers can be obtained by fighting and beating Griffins, wild monsters that also count as boss enemies. The first time you encounter one of these is during Chapter 6: In Search of Hope, in the part where the crew is tasked with finding a mysterious device.
At this stage of the game, Griffins shouldn't be too hard to fight. They mostly use Physical and Wind-based attacks. However, the most annoying part about these monsters is that they spend most of the time flying around, which can make things hard for melee characters. These guys are weak to Fire, so bring Rakam along if you haven't used your first Crewmate Card on a Fire character.
How To Farm Griffin Feathers
Once you complete Chapter 6, return to the Quest Counter in Folca or Seedhollow. You'll notice that a quest called Only You Can Prevent Forest Flyers has been unlocked under the Novice Skyfarer category. You can farm for as many Griffin Feathers as you need by farming this quest ad nauseam. This quest has an Advised PWR rating of 1400, and you can always come back to it later after you've upgraded your party.
After you finish the main campaign and reach Veteran Skyfarer rank, you'll unlock the Drumsticks Au Griffin quest, which pits you against a harder version of the monster. Clearing this quest grants you a shot at earning feathers as well as Griffin Talons, Champion Merits, Flawed Prisms, and, if you're lucky, Rank IV Sigils.
Griffin Feathers are essential when it comes to pre-Hard mode upgrades. You'll need these to break the level caps of certain weapons like the Captain's Sword of Eos. Griffin Feathers are also required for upgrading the Attack Power, Critical Hit Rate, and Health Sigils, just to name a few.
