Hot hatches and vintage vehicles can be a lot of fun to drive, but, sometimes, there's just no substitute for speed. Gran Turismo 7 doesn't disappoint in this department, with more than 400 real-world vehicles available for players to choose from. Not all of them are lightning-fast, but most are capable of going from zero to fun in a very short space of time.
Unsurprisingly, perhaps, the fastest cars in Gran Turismo 7 aren't cheap, nor are they available right away. With enough Credits and a little story progression though, players will soon be able to get their hands on these souped-up supercars. Seasoned gearheads probably won't be too shocked by the race leaders, as the fastest cars in Gran Turismo 7 all come courtesy of the very best manufacturers in motoring.

Of course, that's not to say that there isn't still some exaggeration in the game, with many of the Vision Gran Turismo concept cars making a mockery of modern-day physics. 12 Gran Turismo F1500T-A (986 BHP)
Inspired by the great Formula One cars of the mid-eighties, the Gran Turismo F1500T-A first debuted in Gran Turismo Sport, where it could be purchased as DLC. It boasts a V6 engine, which allows it to accelerate up to breakneck speeds right out of the blocks. It's a little lighter than some of the other fastest cars in Gran Turismo 7, allowing it to squeeze a little more speed out of its high horsepower engine, though its lightweight design does come at the expense of grip.

The VGT is a concept car that was created specifically for the Vision Gran Turismo project. At 1,400 KG, it's one of the heaviest cars in the game, but makes up for this with its powerful electric engine. GT7 marks the car's second appearance in a Gran Turismo game, with the VGT Coupe having also featured as part of the 1.5 update for GT Sport.

Unlike the Coupe though, the Roadster didn't feature in GT Sport, making this its very first appearance in a Gran Turismo game.

The FXX K '14 is actually making its Gran Turismo debut, though, given its high price tag, most players probably won't get to experience driving it for themselves.

It's also one of the fastest non-VGT vehicles in the game, for those looking for a little more realism in their rides.

Like the Jaguar VGT concept cars, it is a little on the heavy side, but this helps it to handle like an absolute dream.

Even seasoned astronauts would struggle to survive the kind of forces that this car could put on a human body, though, with a little bit of practice, experienced players shouldn't have too much trouble taming it.
