Unlocking the Platinum Trophy in God of War Ragnarok arguably takes a lot more time than it does skill, and the same is once again true of the Trophies for the game's DLC expansion. There are twelve Valhalla Trophies in total, each of which can be unlocked while playing the game on any one of the five available difficulty settings, much to the delight of some players.

God of War Ragnarok Valhalla: How to Unlock Young Kratos Skin

Longtime series fans should be happy to learn that it's now possible to switch between young and old Kratos in both God of War Ragnarok and Valhalla.

Most players should be able to unlock all of the Valhalla Trophies in around five or six hours, provided they understand the requirements for each one. Six will be unlocked automatically as part of the main story, while two can only be unlocked after finishing it. The other four are all relatively straightforward and should come naturally as part of a regular playthrough, particularly if players are using a God of War Ragnarok Valhalla Trophy guide.

Description

How to Unlock

God of Hope (Silver)

Master Valhalla and master thyself.

Unlocked by completing all six chapters of Valhalla's main story.

Invitation Accepted (Bronze)

Discover the secret of Valhalla

Unlocked as part of the main story.

Dark Odyssey (Bronze)

Participate in the sacrifice

Unlocked as part of the main story.

Blood, Sweat, and Tyr (Bronze)

Battle Týr

Unlocked as part of the main story. The Trophy will unlock after the first battle with Tyr.

Scry Me a River (Bronze)

Reclaim Kratos' Oath Stone

Unlocked as part of the main story.

Wayfarer (Bronze)

Visit all 9 Realms in Valhalla

Most players will unlock this Trophy automatically as part of their first playthrough, but those who focus on a single weapon path may find that they're missing a realm or two. This is because the penultimate realm that's visited during a standard Valhalla run is determined by which weapon path players choose, with the Blades of Chaos, Leviathan Axe, and Draupnir Spear tied to Muspelheim, Niflheim, and Helheim respectively. If players never choose a certain weapon path, they'll never visit the Realm that it's linked to, thus preventing them from unlocking the Wayfarer Trophy.

No Kratos, No Scry (Bronze)

Reclaim Pandora's Statue

Unlocked as part of the main story.

Fight at the Forum (Bronze)

Participate in a fight at The Forum arena

After completing Valhalla's main story, players will gain the ability to visit The Forum in Greece. However, before they can do so, they'll first need to defeat seven of Valhalla's Chosen. After that, they'll find The Forum in the area above the one with all of the chests and will unlock the Trophy after winning or losing the fight that takes place there. Winning the fight twice will unlock two unique cosmetic armor sets.

Easy Come, Easy Go (Bronze)

Acquire more than 15,000 Fleeting Echoes on a single attempt

Although it's possible to earn Fleeting Echoes in some of the earlier Realms, the amounts obtained there are fairly meager when compared to some of the rewards earned in the final area. As such, players will need to farm Valhalla's Chosen in Greece to have any chance of acquiring 15,000 Fleeting Echoes. Players should hit this total after defeating eight or nine enemies depending on the color of the realm tears they come out of and whether or not the realm tears were shimmering. Players can then use these Fleeting Echoes to obtain the Flawless Ares Armor and the Flawless Zeus Armor from one of the chests in the central area of Greece. Both will cost 15,000 Fleeting Echoes, though only one is available per run.

Understood the Assignment (Bronze)

Complete 9 Mastery Quests

Players will likely unlock the Understood the Assignment Trophy automatically while playing through Valhalla. If not, they'll be able to check their Mastery quest progress from the Goals tab of the pause menu.

Style Points (Bronze)

Equip a Cosmetic Armor

Players can equip cosmetic armor by visiting the Appearance Pedestal at The Shore, though only after progressing through the main story a little.

You Again? (Bronze)

Find all 3 Boat Captain Keys

After completing the main story, players will start to find items in front of the Giants' painting of Kratos in the first area of Valhalla where they commit to a weapon path. Once they reach the penultimate realm, Kratos and Mimir will discuss the item found in Valgrind, after which, it will reappear in front of the painting when players begin their next run. After repeating this cycle three times, players will unlock the You Again? Trophy and a new item will start to show up on future runs.
