Gotham Knights is a dark, combat-focused open-world RPG that follows the Batman family after the iconic hero's death. Red Hood, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Robin are in charge of protecting Gotham City from Mobsters, Freaks, and even the Gotham City Police Department. Each playable character has new equipment, gear, and abilities they can unlock throughout the game. Character skins, or suits, are one way to boost things like defenses or agility.

In-game, there isn't too much direct information on getting suit styles. One way is buying the Deluxe Edition or Visionary Pack, which gifts players a suit for each Gotham Knight that unlocks early on in the game's storyline, but finding the other suits will require some work. Luckily, the gameplay offers a few different ways to get all the suit styles.

How to Unlock New Suits

Gotham Knights Robin Beyond Suit

Players can freely switch between the four heroes at their hideout in Belfry before exploring the city. The characters all have unique strengths and fighting styles, and suits with specific perks. Suits can be obtained by completing case file missions, stopping criminals, or crafting. Beating the main missions seems the quickest way to get suits, but some side quests and random missions also turn out with some.

All the available suits are found under the Gear menu from the Batcomputer menu. In addition, players can access their weapon loadouts, insert Modchips, customize their suits, or craft weapons and suits.

The crafting system uses blueprints found around Gotham City or picked up from defeated enemies while on patrol. Batman has also left secret chests throughout the city that contain materials, blueprints, and suits.

Gotham Knights Crafting

There are three key factors in getting skins and their customization in Gotham Knights: Suit Styles, Colorways, and Transmogs. The heroes can use different suit styles, and there are multiple suits under a style for a total of 56 suits between the characters. The suit styles include the following:

  • New Guard (Default)
  • Beyond (Deluxe Edition)
  • Eternal
  • Knight Ops
  • Knightwatch (Visionary Pack)
  • Shinobi
  • Year One
  • Neon Noir
  • Titan
  • Demon
  • Privateer
  • Knighthood
  • Metal

Customizing Suits

Gotham Knights Colorways

After unlocking and crafting a suit, players can change the appearance of that style. Colorways are a customization system in Gotham Knights. Under the Gear menu, there is a submenu called Styles that has all the different color options and where players can change gloves, boots, or cowls.

It should be noted that changing the style of a suit does not affect the stats at all. Colorways are unlocked in the same way suits are by completing missions or stopping premeditated crimes. Unfortunately, there isn't a direct pathway to many of them, so the best way is to grind out a lot of Gotham Knights missions.

Transmog

Gotham Knights Transmog

Transmog is short for Transmogrification and is a popular term used in RPGs and MMOs. It is the act of changing the appearance of a suit or skin to look like another, but it retains its original stats. Transmog Suits in Gotham Knights are only available for suits that players have already unlocked and can only be applied to the whole suit rather than a specific piece.

Gotham Knights is available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
