Premeditated Crimes are a fantastic way to level up and acquire resources in Gotham Knights, and can be accessed from a very early point in the game. They allow players to take down gang crimes across Gotham for exp, gear, and crafting material.

Handling Premeditated Crimes in Gotham Knights is an excellent way to advance and gather resources ahead of the more difficult missions in the game, and engaging with them is often necessary for Contact challenges. Detective Montoya needs players to deal with Premeditated Crimes as part of her contact challenges, and the first Knighthood challenge requires players to complete ten of them.

Unlocking Premeditated Crimes

Premeditated Crimes can be accessed as soon as players gain the ability to freely explore Gotham after the completion of the initial mission investigating Dr Langstrom. Players will need to track down ongoing crimes in the city (indicated by small white markers on the map) and use AR Vision to scan the culprits before engaging them. At each of these locations at least one enemy will have a question mark over their head indicating that they are an informant after being scanned.

Grabbing an Informant and interrogating them will earn players a large amount of clues, while defeating enemies offers only a small amount. Gathering clues and returning to the Belfry will cause those clues to be uploaded to the Batcomputer and analysed, which then causes Premeditated Crimes to appear on the map the next time the player goes out on patrol. The more clues, the more Premeditated Crimes players can access on their next patrol, so spending a bit of time before jumping into a fight to check for informants can prove very lucrative.

Premeditated Crimes On The Map

Premeditated Crimes are indicated on the map with a red icon, as seen in the image above. An important thing to note is that informants will often spawn at Premeditated Crime locations, thus checking for them and making sure to interrogate them will allow players to find even more Premeditated Crimes on future patrols. Effectively, keeping an eye out for informants while tackling existing Premeditated Crime activities will allow players to build up the clues necessary to find more Premeditated Crimes in the future.

Players can also still look for crimes on the map via the white icons on the map to find more informants and gather more clues.
