A Steam sale celebrating Batman's birthday has just about every game featuring the Caped Crusader available at a significant discount for a limited time, though several of which aren't technically games about Batman. Most games are at least 75% off in the sale, providing a great opportunity for Batman fans or newcomers to partake in some good old-fashioned high-tech vigilante justice.
At this point, every PC gamer has likely come across a very specific Steam sale that highlights their favorite franchise, character, genre, or developer. Steam has earned a solid reputation over the years for hosting major sales at an unrelenting pace, with smaller, specifically categorized sales like the recent Steam Base Builder Fest showcasing virtually every game with some sort of construction mechanic. Less frequent but highly eventful seasonal sales like the legendary Steam Summer Sale and Steam Winter Sale even come with extra prizes and mini-games where people can unlock special rewards for their accounts.
The latest Steam sale celebrates Bruce Wayne's birthday, which has been established in the comics as February 19. The sale itself will end on February 20, so there are a few days remaining to get a hold of some classic Batman games at a major discount. At 55% off, Gotham Knights is ironically the headliner of this sale despite Batman's death in the first moments of the game, though this is probably just because Gotham Knights is the most recent title in the franchise. Thankfully, plenty of other games are featured with a lot more screen time for the Dark Knight.
In particular, the excellent Batman Arkham Collection consisting of the first three Arkham games is $8.99 in total, and the series can be rounded off by Arkham Origins for an extra $4.99. These are considered some of the best Batman games, and even newcomers to DC or people who aren't particularly huge fans of Batman can find many hours of enjoyment here as this series has long been well-regarded for its satisfying combat, exploration, and detective work. Speaking of trilogies, the LEGO Batman Trilogy is also a whopping 90% off at $4.99 for the trio.
The other games in the sale aren't exactly about Batman, but his mere presence is apparently enough to warrant their inclusion. LEGO DC Super-Villians is 85% off and has the player taking on the role of the bad guys, though Batman still shows up every now and then. Lastly, the Injustice series of DC fighting games also make an appearance with Injustice 2 Legendary Edition at an impressive 85% off.
