A tactical RPG called God Wars: The Complete Legend is no longer available on Nintendo eShop. While the Switch has several excellent strategy games, it’s always disheartening to see old titles becoming unavailable, and gamers will need to use other platforms if they want to acquire this title in the future.

God Wars: The Complete Legend is a full-scale tactical RPG developed by Kadokawa and published by NIS America that allows gamers to participate in large-scale battles in Feudal Japan. The game was originally launched back in 2018, and received mixed reviews, achieving a score of 70 on Metacritic. Back in June, NIS America announced that God Wars would be delisted from eShop today.

Now, the time has come, and God Wars: The Complete Legend was delisted from Switch’s eShop. While some companies wait until the end of the day to take the games off sale, God Wars is no longer available right now. Before now, gamers could purchase it for $39.99. However, the title was on sale recently and could be acquired for a measly $3.99 up to August 28. NIS America did not give any official reason for why the game was delisted, but other five titles published by the company left the platform recently, so licensing issues could a be possibility. At the moment, God Wars: The Complete Legend is still available on Steam, though, and costs $5.99, and there is no official notice for the removal of the game from the platform.

Games disappearing from Nintendo eShop is far from something rare. Earlier this year, the eShops for 3DS and Wii U closed down, ending an important era of Nintendo’s digital history. At the time, hundreds of games were no longer available for sale, and several devs gave out free codes for people who wanted to snatch these titles before they became unavailable forever.

Nintendo Switch owners who didn’t get the chance to purchase this title have two choices: either to look for another marketplace or settle for a different game. There are several excellent turn-based RPGs available on Switch that can still be acquired, such as the Earthbound-inspired Undertale, or the classic Dragon Quest 11. Gamers who like the Persona series, for instance, may also like Blue Reflection: Second Light, which has elements of living a school life. On the other hand, fans of comedy could play West of Loathing, a satirical turn-based western adventure.

God Wars: The Complete Legend is available for PC, PS4, and PS Vita.
