Santa Monica Studio's critically-acclaimed God of War, features a myriad of optional bosses, called the Valkyries, for dedicated fans to overcome. The most difficult of these bosses is undoubtedly Sigrun, the Valkyrie Queen, and while simply bringing this powerful enemy down is an accomplishment that players can be proud of, Twitch streamer Andréas "Sardoche" Honnet has taken things to another level with the completion of truly impressive God of War challenge.
Specifically, on January 2, Sardoche defeated God of War's Sigrun on the game's hardest difficulty without taking a single hit. This achievement came after innumerable attempts, and the fight that saw Sardoche victorious took an unbelievable 15 minutes. Indeed, maintaining focus and precise execution over such a long time frame is a true testament to the content creator's skill, and the moment where Sigrun is finally slain can be seen in the clip below.
For the uninitiated, Sigrun can be summoned at the Council of Valkyries after God of War's other eight Valkyries have been dispatched. The combination of her tremendous speed and variety of attacks is what makes her so challenging, and only players with patience and quick-thinking can stand against her. This is especially true when playing on the game's Give Me God of War difficulty setting, as Sardoche was, and this makes the streamer's accomplishment all the more impressive.
Certainly, Sardoche's is not the first no-hit challenge that has been completed on Twitch, and VODs of some truly mind-blowing runs are available for fans that want to see more. For instance, streamer Dinossindgeil recently completed a no-hit run of the Dark Souls trilogy in under two hours, which is sure to astound players that have tackled these punishingly-difficult action games before. To note, YouTuber Fraaz Khan previously beat Sigrun without taking damage on Give Me God of War difficulty, which means that Sardoche's achievement is not without any precedent. That said, the level of dedication and perseverance that is required for this challenge is truly astonishing, and the Twitch streamer can certainly be proud of what they have just accomplished.
