A God of War player has defeated Sigrun, Queen of the Valkyries in a record-beating time of 13 seconds. Although the sequel to God of War arrives in under a week, some are still mastering the combat capabilities of the first, attempting to melt the health bars of tough enemies and even more troublesome bosses.

The Give Me God Of War difficulty is set to return for the upcoming God of War Ragnarok, dragging those with a penchant for suffering back through Hellheim. The notoriously challenging mode turned even the most simple draugr into an axe sponge, and was strongly recommended by the developers to only be undertaken after completing the title once on a lower difficulty. Unlike before, God of War Ragnarok will allow players to reduce the toil of Give Me God of War, but subsequently lock them out from returning to the punishing setting for that playthrough. However, if recent clips are anything to go by, it seems that some who have acquainted themselves with God of War 2018 to the fullest extent will soon be annihilating God of War Ragnarok's bosses too, rather than reducing the struggle.

In a video uploaded to Reddit by u/AhmedRoasko, a well-equipped Kratos is seen standing by a Realm Tear for a few seconds, before Sigrun leaps out after the Ghost of Sparta activates it. The brief cutscene is the only moment of dominance for the Valkyrie Queen, who is stun-locked mere seconds into the fight by skills from both the Leviathan Axe and Blades of Chaos. After closing in, the player activates Kratos' talisman, providing 6 seconds of Realm Shift in which most of the damage is inflicted. The time-slowing effect soon wears off, but the speed and power of Kratos' blades proves too much for Sigrun, whose remaining health is quickly dealt with.

The video concludes with evidence that this was achieved at the Give Me God of War difficulty, and a brief exhibition of the skills, armor, and enchantments utilized. Crediting God of War content creator Kaown for the achievement, they provided a list in the comments of what was required, which included the New Game Plus exclusive Zeus armor set. Also mentioned were Dews, determined to not be essential but would shave off a few seconds given the additional attack power.

God of War Ragnarok reviews are now out, and the consensus is overwhelmingly positive, with virtually all of them claiming that the sequel not only lives up to the hype, but exceeds it. There is not long to wait now before gamers can venture into the nine realms of Norse mythology, and experience the conclusion of this God of War saga.

God of War Ragnarok is scheduled to release on November 9, 2022, on PS4 and PS5.
