Players have been able to witness the full extent of Kratos' power over the course of the entire God of War series, and one artistic player has taken inspiration from this to visualize Kratos as if he was from the panels of the Dragon Ball Z manga. The Dragon Ball universe has no shortage of powerful characters, from Goku to Beerus and various others in-between, who have only grown stronger across the series' long-running history. While Goku and Kratos are not likely to cross paths, the new piece of art can allow players to at least see what a potential battle may look like.

The God of War series began with the first game in 2005, following the Spartan warrior Kratos on his quest for revenge against the Greek god of war Ares for tricking Kratos into killing his wife and daughter. Kratos' battles across Greece would span across three subsequent console games through 2013 before trading in Greece and the Blades of Chaos for Norse Mythology and the Leviathan Axe in 2018's God of War. The latest entry, God of War Ragnarok, ultimately pit Kratos and his son Atreus against Odin as the two set out to prevent the Norse apocalypse from happening.

It was the original games set in Greece which Reddit user Aggravating-Cookie11 channeled in the aforementioned piece of art imaging Kratos in Dragon Ball Z. The Reddit user's rendering of Kratos shows the Spartan warrior sporting the sharp edges commonly seen in the design of most Dragon Ball characters, from his eyes to his bulging musculature. Aggravating-Cookie11 was also sure to include a red background and black lines to emphasize Kratos screaming Zeus' name in anger.

Given the design, players could argue Kratos' design takes some queues from how Saiyans are commonly designed across the manga and anime. The design tends to emphasize Saiyans' muscles, which become more prominent the more powerful they become, and reinforces their place in the universe as a race of warriors. Goku, Vegeta, and Broly all showcase this idea, with Broly, in particular, becoming much larger when he transforms into the Legendary Super Saiyan.

It wouldn't be surprising to see Aggravating-Cookie11's art intensify debates over who would win in a fight between Goku and Kratos. Both warriors have beaten their fair share of more powerful individuals, including gods, and have only grown stronger with each victory. As mentioned above, it is a debate that will likely never be settled but, if Aggravating-Cookie11 was willing, it could be one they could depict in a future art piece.

God of War Ragnarok is currently available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
