There are 35 Nornir Chests in God of War Ragnarok, many of which can be found in the realm of Vanaheim. Home to the Vanir gods and all manner of deadly plant life, Freya's home realm boasts some of the most complex and confusing chest puzzles in the entire game, forcing players to think outside the box in order to claim their rewards.
The Veiled Passage Nornir Chest is a great example of this, as it requires players to use their environment and their companion to break the seal, rather than using Kratos' weapons as is the case with most of the other Nornir Chests in God of War Ragnarok. Some players may struggle to figure out the solution, but it's actually a lot simpler than it first appears.
How to Unlock The Veiled Passage Nornir Chest
Players will find The Veiled Passage Nornir Chest on a small bit of land inside the titular passage. For those having trouble finding it, it can help to track the Mysterious Orb favor, as the item needed to complete it is right next to the chest. Opening the chest is a little trickier than finding it though, with players needing to ring three bells simultaneously despite them all having incredibly short rings.
All three of the bells are on the cave wall directly behind the chest, though players will need to free one of them from its bindings before they'll be able to ring it. To do so, they'll simply need to have their companion fire a Sigil Arrow at the vines on the right and then throw a firebomb at it from the nearby dispenser. This will not only free the bell but also cause it to ring for a very short time.
Players should quickly realize that there is nowhere near enough time to ring all three bells using Kratos' Leviathan Axe. However, as they just learned, they can also use firebombs to ring bells, which is how to unlock The Veiled Passage Nornir Chest. Players should connect the three bells using Sigil Arrows and then throw a fire bomb at them, which will cause the explosion to spread across the rock wall and ring all of the bells simultaneously.
Once the seal on the chest is broken, players will be able to open it up and claim their reward. If they've opened up fewer than thirty chests at this point, they'll receive either an Idunn Apple or a Horn of Blood Mead. However, if they've already maxed out both Kratos' health and Spartan Rage meters, they'll instead receive another item such as Hacksilver or Shattered Runes.
