Vanaheim is one of the largest realms in God of War Ragnarok, with the home of the Vanir gods boasting multiple areas and a whole host of favors. At one point or another, players will likely find themselves venturing over to Goddess Falls, which can be found in the southwestern part of the realm and is a key location in the Freya's Missing Peace favor.

As they make their way to the top of the falls in search of the Vanir Shrine, players will come across one of God of War Ragnarok's 35 Nornir Chests. Thankfully, this is one of the easier chests to unlock, though Kratos and the player will still need to do a little bit of work in order to get their hands on the reward inside.

How to Unlock the Goddess Falls Nornir Chest

The Goddess Falls Nornir Chest can be found on a plateau near the halfway point of the titular falls. It's over to the right-hand side near a red Blades of Chaos grapple point hanging from above. It's a torch-lighting chest too, meaning that players will not only need the Blades of Chaos to reach the chest, but also to get it open and claim their reward.

The first of the three torches is over to the right of the chest and will need to be lit using a combination of Sigil Arrows and the Blades of Chaos. Players should fire three arrows at the torch itself and then three more at each of the two pillars in the water between themselves and the torch. After doing so, they can light the one closest to them in order to ignite the torch, though will need to be quick as the arrows will disappear over time.

The second torch is over to the left of the chest and can again be lit using a combination of Sigil Arrows and the Blades of Chaos. The same is true for the last torch too, which can be found at the top of the falls closest to the chest. For this one, however, players will need to be sure to use the dry bits of stone for their Sigil Arrows, as arrows won't be able to stick when fired directly into the water.

With the final torch now lit, players can return to the chest and claim their reward. Assuming they haven't already opened up thirty chests at this point they will receive either an Idunn Apple or a Horn of Blood Mead. If they have, they'll instead get some other item such as Hacksilver or Shattered Runes, the latter of which can be sold at Brok and Sindri's workshops for a large amount of the former.

God of War Ragnarok is available now for PS4 and PS5.
