Players will gain access to several new areas after completing the final chapter of God of War Ragnarok. One of these areas is the Aesir Prison Wreckage, which players will be able to find in Niflheim by visiting the Raven Tree Mystic Gateway. Upon their arrival there, they'll see that a huge mass of land has fallen from the sky and landed near the tree, which will unlock the Broken Prison favor.

Venturing into the prison will allow players to find one of Odin's greatest enemies and free him from his long imprisonment. Players will also be able to find one of God of War Ragnarok's 35 Nornir Chests locked away inside the prison, though, as is often the case, they'll need to explore the area fairly thoroughly in order to get the chest open and claim the reward inside.

How to Unlock The Aesir Prison Wreckage Nornir Chest

Upon their arrival at the prison, players will need to use the Draupnir spear to drop down a level. Doing so will take them to the Aesir Prison Wreckage Nornir Chest, though it's currently on the other side of a locked gate. To get around this, players can use the nearby chain to lower the structure with the spear in it, allowing them to drop down to the floor beneath the chest. They'll then be able to bust through the ceiling of one of the corner cells, granting them access to the chest itself.

In order to open the chest, players will need to break three statues with runes on them, the first of which can be found opposite the chest near the locked gate. After breaking it, players should open the gate and make their way down a few floors until they come to a cell with an angry Elf inside. There's a statue to the right of the Elf, though it will probably end up getting broken during the resulting fight.

With two of the three statues now broken, players can make their way down to the lowest floor. One of the cells here contains a familiar face, while the other contains a Traveller. The statue is in neither, however, with players instead able to see it right at the bottom of the central area sitting on a pile of debris. Players can break it using either the Leviathan Axe or Kratos' Draupnir spear, after which they can return to the chest and crack it open.

If players have already opened 30 chests, they'll receive a common item like Hacksilver or Shattered Runes. However, if they haven't unlocked the Full Belly trophy yet, they'll instead find that the chest contains either an Idunn Apple or a Horn of Blood Mead. The former can be used to increase Kratos' maximum health, while collecting enough of the latter will increase the size of his Spartan Rage meter.

God of War Ragnarok is available now for PS4 and PS5.
