The latest title from Santa Monica Studio features Kratos as the main protagonist, assisted by his son Atreus, and follows their adventures as they battle formidable foes during their quest.
God of War Ragnarok builds on the story of the previous installment, where Kratos and Atreus explore the nine realms mentioned in Norse mythology. Thor is one of the most iconic people they meet, and he appears as a challenging boss in God of War Ragnarok. The rivalry between Kratos and Thor began in God of War 2018 when the former killed the latter's son, Magni. Naturally, Thor boss fight is one of the most brutal in God of War Ragnarok, and now a fan has recreated it in a stunning painting.
Reddit user PatrickBrown2 deserves credit for making a breathtaking digital drawing featuring the two God of War Ragnarok characters. Thor and Kratos can be seen engaged in a pitched battle with one another while wielding their signature weapons, Mjolnir and Leviathan Axe, respectively. The artist has used bluish lightning to enhance Thor's influence, who appears to be throwing a punch at Kratos and has a small wound on his stomach. It should be noted that Thor in the God of War franchise is very different from the one in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Unlike the MCU, where he is portrayed as a muscular figure with blonde hair, God of War Ragnarok's Thor has a plump body with auburn hair.
