Where To Find The Frost Phantom And How To Beat It In God Of War Ragnarok
The Frost Phantom can be found northwest of Alfheim on the eastern side of the Forbidden Sands desert. The boss will appear as soon as the players reach its area. Usually, boss fights that are unrelated to the main story quest are harder to deal with in God of War Ragnarok. So, this is how players can beat the Frost Phantom in Alfheim.
How To Beat The Frost Phantom In God Of War Ragnarok
The Frost Phantom's HP is locked and won’t take any damage, no matter how hard Kratos can hit. That is because the boss’s HP is hidden inside three spring pillars, scattered around the battlefield area. The only way to defeat the Frost Phantom is by destroying these pillars. To do so, players must fill the boss’s Stun Meter by attacking its head constantly. Once the Meter is full, players can now head to one of the pillars to destroy them.
However, it’s not simple to bring the Frost Phantom down without proper planning since the boss can really hurt when it grabs Kratos with an attack. The main cure for the Phantom’s aggressive playstyle is aggressiveness itself by attacking its head at any given chance. Eventually, the Frost Phantom will fall and become vulnerable. Even at close range, the Frost Phantom has some devastating hits with its arsenal so avoid any red-flashing attacks but return quickly to its head.
The western spring pillar is located above a couple of obstacles where Kratos can’t reach it with his melee range. The only way to take the structure down is by throwing the Leviathan Axe or the Draupnir Spear at it.
The northern pillar is the easiest to reach in God of War Ragnarok. All players have to do is run to the spring and spam melee attacks until its destruction.
As for the pillar located northeast, players need to make a small climb into a sole building that holds the spring.
After destroying all the spring pillars, the Frost Flame will appear and any damage will cause it to fall over, ready to be grabbed by Kratos. Once Kratos complete his execution, the Frost Flame will be defeated.
