A Reddit user named SammerSouls has shared an image from God of War Ragnarok with this bug, showing that Atreus’ leg has turned 180 degrees in the upward direction. As seen in the image, his leg is clipping through his body, and Atreus seems completely stunned judging by his facial expression. It's an odd bug that likely fixed itself, or by reloading a previous save, as it doesn’t appear to be a major issue.

It looks like SammerSouls isn’t alone in experiencing this bug, as one user in the comments section also claims to have encountered it while playing God of War Ragnarok. Other fans make jokes about Atreus’ shapeshifting ability in God of War Ragnarok, with one stating that he’s turning into a flamingo. God of War Ragnarok is a fairly buggy game according to a fan, as they claim to have encountered boats floating in the game on several occasions. The post is otherwise mostly filled with jokes, as users take this opportunity to comment on his shapeshifting powers.

Developer Santa Monica Studio has released several updates for God of War Ragnarok that aim to fix bugs and make other improvements. Patch 4.02 for God of War Ragnarok came out in April 2023, fixing glitches that were present in various aspects of the game including audio, combat, and its UI. An issue related to players not being able to earn a particular trophy in God of War Ragnarok was also resolved in this update, with some other fixes specific to the PS4 version of the game. The developer hasn’t released another update since then, but it seems like God of War Ragnarok may need some more patches to iron out these issues.

God of War Ragnarok is available now on PS4 and PS5.
