An interesting new God of War mod shows the series protagonist, Kratos, fighting the supporting character Sindri. The fight itself is from an early battle between the main character and the game's primary antagonist, Baldur. It is one of many mods that can be found throughout the internet based on the God of War battle.

Released in 2018, the game was the first entry in the franchise to move the story forward since God of War 3 in 2010. At the time of its release, God of War was the best-reviewed PlayStation 4 game and went on to sell over 23 million copies worldwide. The game would eventually be released on PC in 2022, which opened the floodgates for modders to add their own bizarre flair to the 2018 entry.

A popular part of the game to mod is the first fight between Kratos and Baldur. For example, one mod put Argentina's Messi and France's Mbappe into the God of War fight with hilarious results. More recently, Reddit user lolmetwice shared a video that saw Sindri battle Kratos in the scene. His dialogue and voice had been altered, so it sounded more like the supporting character, but the various fight moves were the same as the original battle.

Sindri is one of the main supporting characters in the latest God of War games. Originally introduced in the 2018 game, he, along with his brother, Brok, improved weapons and forged new armor for Kratos and Atreus. They remained in contact with the two after the events of the game and had bigger roles in the sequel. Sindri would have some great moments in God of War Ragnarok, but sadly events within the game would leave his relationship with the protagonists strained. In fact, the ending of the game made a fight between the two characters seem like a reasonable proposition.

The battle with The Stranger was the second major boss that players had to contend with in the 2018 game. While God of War's Baldur is different from his Norse Mythology counterpart in several key areas, there were also similarities. He could not feel pain, so no matter what Kratos did to him, he could not take the Norse God down for good - at least in this first encounter. Kratos' conflict with Baldur led to the events of God of War Ragnarok, and mods like this ensure that the classic fight remains relevant. Hopefully, before too long, the latest game in the series will come to PC, and similar mods like this will be created.

God of War is now available on PC and PS4.
