One hardcore God of War fan has taken their fandom for the franchise to a different level by creating protagonist Kratos as a custom fighter in EA Sports UFC 3. The man they call the Ghost of Sparta is such a popular and iconic video game character that many fans have tried to add Kratos to as many different games as possible, and perhaps some developers have also taken notice, seemingly enabling customization features to create him.

EA Sports UFC 3 was released all the way back in 2018 to favorable reviews, and since then, the franchise has improved quite a bit. Its latest installment, EA Sports UFC 5, was just released in October 2023 and has already been hailed as one of the best titles in the franchise. For those looking for a solid MMA simulation, it seems any of the EA Sports-developed UFC games would do just fine, especially if one simply wants to play as some of the most popular fighters in the sport — which may be why this fan is still playing a nearly six-year-old title.

God of War Ragnarok's PC port has yet to be confirmed, but it is more than likely going to happen, and it could very well be this year.

Redditor LegalTv_Abdallah shared a picture of their gameplay on r/GodofWar, in which they recreated Kratos in the EA Sports UFC 3 custom fighter creator. This version is a Latin-looking man who does look pretty close to the original design of Kratos, especially as he has the trademark bald head and red markings. The only thing missing is the pale white skin that earned him the Ghost of Sparta moniker and the exaggerated muscular body, which isn't as efficient in an MMA fight. Some Redditors have pointed out this creation's resemblance to popular fighter Nate Diaz, while others enjoyed the attempt to put Kratos in the game.

Right now, God of War fans are busy speculating on the series' future, as it's been two years since the latest entry, Ragnarok, was released and developer Santa Monica Studio released a new chapter via the Valhalla free DLC in November 2023. Some people want a half-sequel, others want a remake of the original trilogy, while non-PS5 players are eagerly awaiting a PC port. Whatever it is, it's entirely possible that the franchise may get something new this year.

Meanwhile for MMA fans, there's never been a better time to be a gamer, as EA Sports UFC 5 is packed to the brim with many of today's best fighters. It even has classic fighters of yesteryear such as Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson, making it a must-have for fight fans in the absence of a big-brand pro boxing game. With newer names also being constantly added via free DLC patches, hardcore followers will have plenty of reasons to keep playing the game until its next installment arrives.
