A hilarious video shows what would happen if God of War Ragnarok's Kratos entered the world of Super Mario Bros. Kratos is one of the most famous video game characters of all time, first appearing in the original God of War in 2005 and multiple sequels thereafter. The latest appearance of Kratos was in God of War Ragnarok, where he's accompanied by his son Atreus as the duo ventures deeper into the nine realms of Norse mythology.

God of War is undoubtedly among the most popular gaming franchises of all time, but others may surpass it in terms of worldwide recognition. Super Mario is one such franchise that gives God of War a run for its money. The two franchises are entirely different, but one fan has imagined what a combination of God of War and Super Mario would look like.

YouTuber Tushar Kd made a video that shows Kratos wreaking havoc in the world of Super Mario Bros. The video begins with Mario in the game's first world when the God of War Ragnarok protagonist appears from the sky. Kratos immediately makes his presence known as he swings the Leviathan Axe to freeze a few blocks. He moves forward and comes across a Hammer Brother, an enemy that throws an endless number of hammers, which Kratos successfully blocks using his shield. After this, the God of War Ragnarok character destroys the Hammer Brother by throwing the Leviathan Axe at it.

Kratos also uses the Blades of Chaos from God of War to reach high places and kill more enemies. Meanwhile, Mario hits a block that drops a bow, essentially giving him Atreus's duty to shoot foes with arrows. The video shows Kratos and Mario going side by side and slaughtering enemies at will. Soon, they both come face to face with Daudi Kaupmadr, the first boss players face in God of War 2018, who they defeat easily. At one point, Kratos shoots an Odin raven from God of War Ragnarok by throwing the Leviathan Axe at it.

One of the most interesting bits of the video was a recreation of an iconic moment from God of War when Atreus and Kratos are hunting a deer. Atreus shoots an arrow at the deer without Kratos's permission, causing the latter to scold the former for being careless. The video shows Mario shooting a dragon, triggering the famous dialogue from the game, where he tells Atreus only to fire when told.

God of War Ragnarok is out now for PS4 and PS5.
