How to Start The Rota Boss Fight in God of War
The Valkyrie Rota is an optional boss fight in God of War that comes baring bountiful loot once killed. For players brave enough to take her on, Rota can be found on the bridge by the first exit into Helheim and then down the second walkway on the bridge that leads to roots that the players can destroy with Shock Arrows. Once taken care of, the lift down to Rota's lair is just beyond this point.
How to Beat Rota in God of War
It may be a cliche, but it is true: The best offense for beating Rota in God of War is a good defense, which means that players will need to learn her attack patterns, so they can unleash Kratos when she is distracted. Luckily, Rota only has two ranged attacks that comprise of her hovering and shooting lethal yellow magic at Kratos. Players can block these attacks with Kratos' shield, then counter when Rota exhausts her magic and takes a frail dive at Kratos.
On top of this, Rota will also scream at Kratos before rushing in to discharge a powerful close-quarters attack. This routine repeats three times. However, she will land on the ground to compose herself after the third attack. Within this window of opportunity, players can get close enough to Rota and kill her with one of Kratos' weapons of choice.
What Are The Rewards for Beating Rota in God of War
Once players defeat Rota in God of War, they will receive Rota’s Helmet, the Asgard’s Shard of Existence Epic enchantment, Asgardian Steel, its Epic companion Perfect Asgardian Steel, and the Epic blades pommel Grips of the Valkyrie. In short, this cluster of legendary armaments more than makes up for the energy, time, and effort needed to beat the Valkyrie.
God Of War was released in 2018 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Its official PC version was released on January 14, 2022.
