A piece of armor from God of War Ragnarok has revealed protagonist Kratos’s favorite color. God of War Ragnarok has been a massive success for PlayStation, as it has sold 11 million copies within a few months of its release, in addition to receiving critical acclaim.
Since its launch in November 2022, many fans have pointed out interesting details present in the world of God of War Ragnarok. As an example, Thor loses a tooth during the first major boss fight in God of War Ragnarok, and gamers can actually find it lying on the ground, with photo mode allowing them to take a closer look at it. Now, one player confirms that a new detail added to God of War Ragnarok reveals Kratos’ favorite color.
A Reddit user named epic_fortnite_gamer1 has shared an image from God of War Ragnarok with this interesting detail. As seen in the image, players can craft the Loyalty Armor Appearance in God of War Ragnarok, with the description stating that it’s influenced by the Ghost of Sparta’s favorite color. Fans can see a preview of this armor appearance on the right, confirming that Kratos’ favorite is indeed red. Red being Kratos’ favorite color probably doesn’t come as a huge surprise, but gamers now have confirmation of this fact.
The armor appearances feature works like a transmog system in God of War Ragnarok, allowing users to change the look of their armor set without switching to a different piece of equipment. This will allow players to retain the stats and various bonuses of the armor set they are wearing while changing its look to whatever fans want to see on the screen.
Some players in the comments section relate this color choice to how many enemies Kratos has killed over the course of the God of War franchise. One fan also imagines Kratos and Atreus having a conversation about their favorite colors, with dialogue written in the style of 2018’s God of War and the latest game Ragnarok.
Fans should note that developer Santa Monica Studio released a massive New Game+ update for God of War Ragnarok earlier in April 2023, adding new armor sets, an increased level cap, the ability to skip certain cutscenes, and more to the game. It also switched up the battles against endgame bosses like Valkyrie Queen Gna in God of War Ragnarok, giving users a fresh experience when they challenge these enemies in New Game+.
